I didn't find Miranda's scene to be very 'sexy'. I laughed the entire time. It was almost as comical as the DA:O 'love' scenes.
Who has the best romance scene?

Drive core. One wrong move and ZAP. Very dramatic.Nightwriter wrote...
People always go on about the engine room thing!
Miranda's not like most characters, and her sex scene reflects this. She probably wouldn't want to do it in Shepard's quarters because that's his territory, and a character like her would want a level playing field. It's just how she is.
She also probably wouldn't want to do it in her quarters as that might be too... private. I can see her not wanting to let people in there. Meh, my speculations.

I don't quite understand this. She thinks her bedroom is too private to have sex so she decides to clear out the public engine room?
I always though she did what she did as a power play, demonstrating "He's mine." Guess it comes down to interpretation.
I'm sure that played into it, too.
By too private, I don't mean "there weren't enough peepholes in there."
I mean, her quarters were too personal. I think to some extent she likes to keep some distance between her and her lover and that her quarters might be a bit like a private sanctum that she doesn't want to let people into. You can't see her compartmentalizing sex and relationships like that?

I personally really liked Tali, Garrus and Jack.

I watched it with a FemShep.

With Miranda and Jack, I got more of the feeling that they were just using Shep to work through their own emotional baggage. Liara's felt like she was just sleeping with Shep because he was an awesome lab specimen. Ash just needed someone who would listen to her boring stories about her family so she could feel validated as a soldier and to her, it didn't hurt that Shep had a nice butt.
Where Tali seems to actually care for Shep and their scene was them doing something together. You know, like acting out feelings and emotions that had developed over a span of time through shared experiences.

Point of order, Nightwriter. If I remember correctly, some of Miranda's romance dialogue takes place in the "personal" half of her quarters. Either you or she (forget which) sit on the bed at one point. So, I'm not sure the neutral territory theory holds.
Yeah, but they didn't have sex on it, did they?
You know I'd really sh*t if you could ask Miranda this question in ME3. Like, as an aside during a conversation with her or something, just - "Hey, Miranda, why did you want to have sex in the engine room?"
"Because I freaking felt like it."

To get back on topic, I've only done Miranda and Garrus' romances. I found both lacking in different ways. I wanted more tenderness from Miranda's, a little more feeling that this was long-term. Garrus' just felt awkward.

There are people who actually think Miranda's romance scene was good? It had no emotion, it was basically "I'm hot, your hot, let's ****. Oh, and let's do it in the engine room so there's a chance of either of us falling into the drive core"GTYKDME22 wrote...

And not having the top engineer being able to perform some last test before the mission isn't smart either. Though, the same can be said if you romance Tali.Sesshomaru47 wrote...
