**** would get weird what with all the various "personalities" we have runnin' around here.

Something like combining an AA meeting, Star Wars/RPG convention, and group therapy session for bi-polar people  in one location...most likely in some 30+ guys' parents basement.

Yeah. While I think that most folks would get along in real life, I'm more worried about the types whose "Internet Persona" would take over.

Yes; It would be an interesting "experiment" of sorts.  The forums, social sites, online dating sites, etc - open a whole new realm for the "socially ackward" :)...

That sounds like an excuse for more than one party buddy, since the first one would end in fire.

That is fine, but neo-stuff does not have anything to do with actual historical cults.

I cannot stand it when neo-morons say that they´re the "continuators of druidic lore" and stupidity of that kind.

I know very little about the ancient religions. Depending on what it is, I may know a little bit more. But it's been over a year since I've actively looked into information on ancient religions.(Other than that of Ancient Egypt anyway. And I've barely scratched the surface of studying their religion.)

I work on that for a living. :P

On the other hand, many contemporany Satanists do not belive in his existence, but use it as a metaphor related to other purposes.

Yeah, the Anton LaVey "Church of Satan" morons. Real hardcore there....

I just said it would be an interesting experiment, I didn't say I would go.  I was trying to remember a study I read awhile back (ok...a long while back) that highlighted the topic on "online social behavior" vs. "offline social behavior."; I know there was on online dating a few years back that was almost comic results.

Meh, probably less so than you might think. But hey, whatever. Like I said, I think most of us would get along.

I know a guy just like that, lives with a buddy of mine. I don't have an issue with him (we have had some interesting conversations). Sometimes it seems like other people in the room do thoughImage IPB.

Parents were both born and raised on farms. So......Perhaps long lost cousin?

I'm probably very similar. I can be very opinionated and I love to discuss difficult topics, so unless the other people in the discussion are passionate about the subject matter......

You get the idea. So it's better to just grab another beer and crack a joke!

I normally just stand in the corner (and make sure to do it in a way that doesn't cause people to recognixe me as the guy in the corner) at most parties but I think I would actually enjoy myself at this one

Those are some of the best times though.  Drinking a beer, bullsh*tting, solving all the problems in world while sitting on the roof of your house...trying to remember when and exactly why you thought it was a great idea to drink beer up there anyway.  At least until you realize that one your drunk buddies thought it was FUNNY to kick the ladder away from the roof.  Good thing we did have the foresight to carry up the cooler too....the good old days,

Great story. Reminds me of the couple of mornings I walked out of my house to find that there had been some  people that slept on my roof.... well at least passed out up there.

Now that is classic achievement (at least without falling off and harming yourself.)
