Well if that is the case, then why in one of the audio files it says "DLC". If this was something that was supposed to be a mission in ME2 but later cut, then what is the DLC all about?
I see what you're saying and it makes sense, but the files that have "DLC" in them kinda counters what you're saying.
I would assume that the process of deciding which content will be cut from the game is more involved than some executive sending a memo. I imagine that there would have been discussions as to whether it would be suitable for a DLC at a later date. This discussion may even have continued after the game had been finalised. The dialogue would have been marked as a possible DLC and could be left on disc without affecting gameplay regardless of what the final decision was.
Another couple of reasons I don't expect any Liara DLC is (a) the outcry from other romance fans about the lack of DLC for their chosen LI, and (considering the smaller number of expected sales of most DLC and expansions in comparison to the expected sales of ME3, I'm sure there's an accountant somewhere that has told Bioware/EA that leaving LI resolutions until ME3 will gurantee better sales figures.
This all just personal opinion, I have no facts to base any of this on. It simply makes sense to me that they will leave all the LI storylines for ME3. The ME community is a passionate community. I can't even begin to imagine the response if Liara was given a DLC/expansion and Ash/Kaiden/Tali weren't.![]()
Ash/Kaiden is difficult because one of them could be dead. Sort of cuts down the userbase.
Besides, I'm over Ash! Moved on to Miri.

Sounds like an expansion to me. Wouldn't be surprised if thats the Liara/Shadowbroker storyline we're all expecting.

sooo a spoiler content that was created 8 hours ago gets locked down and then directed to come here... still in the "No Spoiler" zone and was created 6 hours ago... a full 2 hours after the previous... what because a moderator didn't post in that one? Still looks like spoiler content to me... *shrugs*
Cant be really considered a spoiler. Its "not" really in the game. Hell bioware could do not a damn thing with these files. This is nothing more then rumor and speculation.

As long as I can bring one other squad mate with me and as long as they don't give me the silent treatment like they have in all of the DLC and N7 missions I'll be happy.
Sounds like you're gonna be sad.

It wouldn't be too difficult. It's only possible for one of them to survive and as ME2 already checks which one survived your ME1 playthrough, an expansion would insert either Kaiden or Ash depending on the choice you made.
I don't think a Kaiden/Ash DLC/expansion is likely to be made either, though. The expense of having both VA's back to record dialogue, and as you pointed out, the limited market for such. The limited market is also another reason I don't expect a Liara expansion. Not everyone would have an interest in Liara's storyline. BW/EA would want to concentrate their budget on content that has the widest appeal possible.
LOL, I was over Ash before I even finished ME1.

Yes, exactly! Many people believe this is going to be ME3 but I believe that to be unlikely. If it is ME3, then they'll be showing something this E3 which is too fast and too early. If anything, I think this is going to be the massive expansion pack we've been wanting and waiting for. With that being said, we might hear something come E3 in June or PAX in September.

Bioware wants a similar development time with ME3, So late 2011early 2012 has been tossed around.

So that would go against their whole "Release a game, listen to the community, and make changes accordingly" message.
I mean, if ME3 comes out January 2011, that means that most of ME3 is already done and the only thing to finish is a bit of heavy polish. But all the the story, characters, locations, and gameplay mechanics would be done at this stage. One of the main things fans want fixed are story, charactions, and gameplay mechanics. If it releases early 2011, it would be too late to fix any of that stuff.

No, It could happen. It dosen't need to be too deep. It can be like an allience mission and which ever allaince soldier survived virmire can be present during the mission. Wouldn't be too hard to get them in the studioes either if they can get Mark meir and the voice of Liara to do more voices then they can get others too.
Lol, I never got over Ash, She's still good for me!

As excited as I am about the Shadowbroker/Liara DLC, if it is an expansion pack, I am hoping it contains more than just Shadowbroker/Liara DLC. I can't imagine Shadowbroker DLC lasting more than 2-3 hours, and I'd like a 5-10 hour expansion pack.

dude can you be anymore whiney? i swear i sometimes wonder why i even bothered coming back to these boards. people just cry and moan. if a dlc is an hour 30 of gameplay people cry and moan heck like what you just said you want the impossible with a 5 hour gameplay dlc over 2 to 3 hours

im not aying early 2011 im saying i can picture me3 in the summer of 2011. and lets be real for a second. mass effect 3 can end up having a amazing ai and some me1 stuff put into it and yet i will bet you that some people will find a way to bash the game.
