Also I'd like an option to go into deep roads and fight endless darkspawn (me alone). Just like in one of the trailers. Perhaps getting the past wardens keep up and running again.
Please Bioware - work 24/7, cancel all other projects and make DLC + expansion as soon as possible!!! What ever it takes - I must FEED (on your awesome game).

The epilogue hinted that the PC, if he survived, still had a story to continue. And that he would rejoin his friends.
But yes I wonder how a sequel would turn like, if the PC died. There is just sooo many options and variations, it's almost impossible to see them all in Dragon Age 2, unfortunately. But if Bioware manages to do that, then I will worship it.
Yes Morrigan's plan doesn't make sense if both of them didn't love each other. But if there was love, then the plan was sensible. And at the epilogue, it shows that Morrigan really loved the PC.
The child doesn't have the taint, but the spirit of a Old God. I doubt that Morrigan wants to do what Flemeth was doing. I am not sure it's possible to posess a spirit of an old God. Although, since Flemeth was the one who made the plan, it is entirely possible that she was planing it. But we don't know what Morrigan is planing. Which is, to return to topic, what I want the sequel to focus on.
If you make the deal with Morrigan, you get the "Dark promise" achievment. So something bad is going to happen.
Yeah, I figured that was Morrigan's plan, but I think she'll be surprised when the child turns out to be too powerful for her to possess and too intelligent for her to control. My thoughts are it will be angry and seek to awaken the other old gods and bring back the dragons to wipe out the plague of 'humanity'. ((And the elves and dwarves, pretty much total global genocide.))
Then Morrigan will flee from him and come to you begging for your help and trying to use your love for her to get you to help her stop him. Of course she'll have some veiled scheme of her own to gain the old god's power...

Orlais and other areas would be nice
This.
We don't need another archdemon rising right away. Give us something tied into the political intrigue that they hinted at with the other nations. Maybe a Qunari invasion as well. And you can throw in an evil dragon cult or whateve to threaten the world, if necessary to make it suitably epic.
Also, my main character has completed his adventures, so I'm voting for a start-from-level 1 adventure, not a continuation of the current plot. I wouldn't mind seeing old companions again.

Dragon Age: Assassin's Creed?
Sounds like a winning combination to me.

I haven't beaten the game but, the story suggests there's still 2 or 3 blights in the works right? Obviously, you got a sequel right there.
I think that if the sequel was based around another blight, we'd just be playing the same game over again "go to 5 groups, raise an army, deal with the last obstacle, march". While it worked for DAO, I don't think it'd work for any future installments.
As for what I want, I'd like to see an expansion where origins are given more of a personal impact after... the origin. While you get a couple extra lines of dialogue in certain places depending on your origin, it doesn't really have any reliance at all upon the story. Let us revisit Highever, for example. Or have our Dalish elves find our original clan again. Something that's specific to each origin, and thus will give us a REAL reason (other than flavor text in the exact same quests) to want to persue the other origins.

Sequel: all new characters with little connection to origins.
Add-on: mediocre quality short DLC with little depth.
Mr. $$$ says so.

Well, there's still 2 more blights to deal with. Making sequels that don't deal with them, at least at some point, would put a blight on the story. lol.

Tevinter Empire could be logical location for sequel (similar to Amn in Baldur's Gate 2). Offspring would be something that old Tevinter Empire worshipped and that do create interesting adventure opportunities.

since it seems like Bioware/EA only want to make money and have little to no interest in compelling stories so why not just make it an FPS. that's by far the most money making games out there. Or maybe Dragon Age Fit. Lose weight while killing orcs.

I'd just feel ripped off if they tossed the whole Darkspawn still underground with 2 arch demons to find thing aside and left it unresolved. You can't have darkspawn in the game without the at least the threat of a new blight in the background. Look for archdemons is all they do when they don't have one to follow.

I personally think it'd be very cool if you got your own elite company to be stationed at Ostagar with your companions being your captains-a layout something like...Sten watching over heavy infantry being trained, Leliana archers, Wynne in the hospice area healing, your mubari hound by the pen, Oghren getting drunk at the dining table in the ruin with Zevran, Alistair (if he's about) in Cailans old tent, Morrigan (if she's about) will be chilling out where the mages where practicing at the start of the game, your tent will be Logains one heh, Wade the blacksmith would be handy and it'd be cool if he could make armour that you could choose from a couple options to clad your company in and of course yourself and your companions with more personalized versions possibly with the white griffon standard...oh and it'd be cool if Bodahn and Sandal were where the armourer originally was and your treatie emissaries, blackstone irregular etc contacts where all in there too and of course that excellent storage box for items that was at Wardens Keep would be handy sitting about.
heh so...basically for a continuation of the storyline after defeating the archdemon you'd be in the position of having rebuilt Fereldins defences with the Legion of the Dead holding the dead trenches and rebuilding Bownammar and you holding Ostagar....now I suppose after the archedemons demise the warden treaties will have been upheld and your army disbanded...so now, as a commander of Ostagar with the darkspawn hordes breaching point somewhere within the Brecelin forest ahead, it'd be a good idea to locate it, so a scouting mission into the forest would be cool to start and when you've found where the darkspawn are issuing from go back and propose the unheard of...take the fight to the darkspawn, invade thier territory and either try to locate the Black City and try ammend the wrongs done their or find the old gods, the dragons that the darkspawn search for to make archedemons and slay them...basically make a campaign to bring an end to the darkspawn threat by leading an army in a full scale invasion of their territory and conquoring them so they never pose a threat to Thedas again.
