What I really hope comes out (in the distant future) is a DLC where me and Allistair go to the deep roads together. Man Im gonna probably gonna blubber like a baby when my char has to make that journey (If he lives that long)

The only problem with continuing morrigan's storyline is it would require bioware to select a cannon ending which would limit their options. For the time being I don't think bioware is going to make any choices that would potentially limit potential dlc or sequel material till they absolutely have to. Although with that being said I wouldn't be surprised if they already had the next 2 sequels mapped out and just weren't saying anything.

They did it in Baldurs Gate 2 quite easily tbh

The number of options/variables will ultimately force bioware to create an almost entirely new cast and story no doubt. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

I would like a continuation of the story as well as more plot elements & quests for the companions...
And it won't hurt to have DLC too especially if it extends to additional specialization, party members, etc...

Yes, I'd love to see the Black City...it's intrigued me ever since I first heard about it in the Fade!

I'd also love to see your PC reunited with some original party members in a sequel, perhaps a continuation of all the romances, like what was done with Baldur's Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal. I love all the characters in this game and I think it would be awesome to see more of them in the future.

Personally im pretty sure that if theres a sequel, it will involve more the Fade, as well as the Black City and the 4 Magister mages that corrupted the Maker's home and turned in into the Black City. Never in DAO did we faced those 4 corrupted mages that are at the origin of the Darkspawn and im guessing that this will be the sequel's story-- IF theres one, of course :P

For DA2 - Begin a new character and go through all the stuff that is in Arl Foreshadow's book. Meaning Orlais, Old Gods in human bodies, and The Black City.

Imho no happy ending with Morrigan and the PC from DA1. It was never meant to be, kinda like Aribeth in NWN. Canonically she dies but could find love with a completely different hero in HoTU... I'm figuring the same with Morrigan. But who knows! :)

Mostly because BG didn't have so many variables. First off you ended at a low level, so plenty of advancement room. No romance so that's not a problem. If you met a character who died/got booted/whatever you could tell them that and they would give an excuse and never mention it again, and there's only one ending - You kill Sarevok and credits roll.

I'd like to see what they pull off with Mass Effect 2 before I can say I want DA2 to continue where DAO left off.

One thing for certain though. Next game in franc-- i mean Orlais.

I'm of the opinion that there won't be any more blights. Something is going to happen to stop them somehow.  The story has hinted at a lot of directions the future tales could go in. Raid on the Black City anyone?  Chase after God-Child and find out what happened to Morrigan?  Either way, I forsee a lot of mini DLC content, and then a major sequel dealing with the repercussions of your choices in the first game. I'm not sure how they will pull off all the little details, but I think they can handle the major final decisions.

For my part i would like to see what happend with morrigan. (would be fun to track her down)

I think it would be amazingly awesome to play as the child of your character in the future. And the main storyline of the sequel would be you and your companions having to find a way to take down your Old God half-sibling, or the Old God child of Morrigan and Allistair. This could be a  whole new Origin based story in which you could create a new character or build one based off of what you think the child of your Dragon Age Origin's character would look like.

It would also be really cool to play as Morrigan and the Grey Warden or Allistair's child about twenty years in the future, and you have to use your Old God powers to stop The last Blight. You could have to get the support of one of your half-siblings or maybe even take the throne if your Allistair's child.

The problem with all these sequels is that the blight is ended... and it takes centuries between each.

I'd suggest a prequel. I'd like to see Andraste's rise and crusade against the Tevinter Imperium - with the Archon as the arch villain. Your quest would be to help Andraste... or the Archon.

Me thinks an another Blight would be boring. Something bigger perhaps. A Sovereign minded Archdemon challenges the Maker himself?

Of course, I'd like Morrigan's story to be continued too, but I think that would be better as a side quest. An important one, perhaps, but still a side quest.

All jokes aside:I really want to see Morrigan back...One way or another :P.She already told you how she knows about the ritual for the Old God,but i want to know why she wants to do it.It's probably already explained a gazillion times at these or the old boards, but i don't want to know it NOW :P

ooh...I think I know what's in the sequel: Most prob you're a new character who meets the old main char (who's obviously a male human noble since the plot was definitely written for those specifications) and he admits to having the God-child with Morrigan. The child is the new bad guy! he could be trying to amass his power to take over the world or something. And you have to defeat him. Along the way, you prob meet Morrigan again. The game hints that performing the ritual may have saved your life but "...at what cost?"
Anyway, as for gameplay, they should totally expand the world by letting the player play in different regions. That would make the game a lot longer and I would definitely want that. What better way to spend the holidays? I really want to see what Orlais looks like. And maybe join the Antivan Crows.
A prequel would be boring since we all know how things end. The game was pretty detailed about its history...
