I'm just glad I didn't romance either Jacob or Miranda. I'll stick to being friends with them and not being treated like a priiiiiize or a trophy.

So they could leave post it notes everywhere in the engine room that they did it for Tali to see.

Had to be done.
However, I would blast Miranda outta the airlock if the romance actually went like that. (Even if I didn't romance her)

That RvB comic is where I got the idea for my post.

Ah, you never played the romance and just swallow this "argument"? I challenge you to try again. Miranda does not treat you as a trophy. Not at all.

That is understandable but I fail to see what that has to do with the Miranda romance (my Femshep stayed loyal to Kaidan so I never saw the Jacob romance to comment).

Can someone please explain to me how Miranda is "shameless"?

Because she got ****ed by shepardt in the engine room and it was her suggestion.
Where other people could see it.
Plain and simple.
All other ladies choose better places.

What? You've never had sex in the kitchen, bathroom, in a forest, or in a tiny gardrobe on your sisters engagement party?... well, you get what I mean. (And if you hadn't, I suggest to try it. There are other places than the bed.)

Let's recourse the question:

What's so wrong, cursed and tainted with engine room?

This interpretation is not consistent with the way the romance plays out in the conversations. Those rather hint that Miranda may be a very private person.  And why the hell would Miranda want to be seen by Zaeed and Grunt, of all people?

I think those who made that scene overlooked the fact that there are two windows into the engine room. And Miranda suggested the engine room because it is neutral territory.

It is a total fantasy that other people saw it.  The game never indicates that.

Making up stuff and then using that to prove something is 'plain and simple' only proves you are a miserable hater 'plain and simple'

Meh.

I dont know it. But she suggested and did it there. I also dont think that shepardt himself would really think that doing it in mirandas quarters would put her somehow over him so "neutral territorry" is needed.

You conveniently ignored the more important argument: an intention to be seen is not consistent with the way the romance plays out in the conversations. There is also (see Valmy's argument) no indication that someone did see except in some manipulated pictures.

As for neutral territory: it's the symbolism that counts, not the reality. Especially in matters like these, where what people feel about something is far more important than what they think.

Well, while I agree with it being slightly out-of-character, it does not change the fact that the engine room with its view from the crew's quarters, Science lab, armory and even Zaeed's security cameras making it, as the crew at that time had been kidnapped, the most public place on the entire ship. I guess it just emphasizes the whole sexuality. A public setting, on the floor, with a giant... core in the background. Miranda is obviously the female LI who relies most on pure sex appeal.

Kasumi:
- "The engine
room really Shepard, Tali was down there and everything."

Yes, no one see it, right??
Self confident, growned up people need "neutral places"???

If you look in all the open widows to the engine room you cannot see where Shepard & Miranda did it!

But we all know Kasumi cloaks around the ship so i can see her watching them!

So out of every squad mate only person would be Kasumi would know maybe EDI too.

Something to laugh:
"Jacob later resumes his vacation aboard the Arcturian Jade after foiling Jath'Amon's attack on the Citadel, this time joined unexpectedly by Miranda Lawson with a bottle of champagne. "

The game dont allow to lean over to look at better places. This doesnt mean that it is impossible to spot this place.

You dont know if kasumi watched it or someone like Tali told her that.

I want to thank you for linking that.  While a lot of his reviews of the two movies were just pointless creepiness... he really lays into both Episode I and II for their failures and is right pretty much every time.  I was an enjoyable watch.

she said that the engine room is cleared, maybe she figured that sneaking off to her or shepard's room would sort of cause gossip and have people think they were less than committed to the mission, and this was the only place that was secluded enough while at the same time could be played off as "preparation"

i don't think it was intentional on her part to have people watching or to show off or anything, rather, i believe that it was a small bit of time together and she wanted to blow off some steam and in her way, show that she cared no matter what happened.

that being said, i am a Miranda fan, and that is how i chose to view it. and i dont have Kasumi so she is a non factor

I don't truely believe that Miranda treats Shepard like a 'trophy' or that Jacob treats Shepard like a 'prize'.  It's a joke in a joke thread.

now, something we don't know about Miranda. she is very unexpected, and jealousy maker. why if Tali and engineer crews would sneak their sex up?

I liked it. It didn't upset me that 1 out of 9 LIs is a bit freaky when it comes to the shagging locale.

(Or it's a completely different Tali altogether, because after all, during the battle of the Citadel, she can tell you to either focus on Sovereign or save the Council, implying that it's not just Shepard who can have a varying personality)

All the characters do that (with the rachni queen too), it's a programming thing to make sure one squadmate supports the pro and con of any situation.

Seeing Ashley support saving the rachni queen for once was pretty trippy...
