In Awakenings, Velanna, although to be fair I hardly used her and there's always the slight possibility I may warm up to her.

Gotta love Anora's sense of humour for building it there. Loghain ftw!
I have to say there is no one in DA:O that I really, really hate (certainly not to the extent that I loathe Aerie and Anomen in BGII, ugh), just some that I find a bit irritating, or just "meh..."
I've used all of them, though in the case of Wynne, I really wish I didn't have to. If you're not playing a mage then she's pretty much unavoidable. Just wish you could stop her preaching at you.

I'm sure he did (and so did Loghain if he US instead). It's just that since you're alive it's more appropriate to ask everyone about their travel plans, choose your boon, decide what your own plans are, reunite with your origin-specific person, ect. at a coronation where the mood is festive than at a solemn event like a funeral.Carmen_Willow wrote...
BTW - did anyone else hate the fact that if you let Alistair die, he doesn't even get a funeral???? That really ticked me off. Hey when the Warden dies, the warden got a funeral. Where was Alistairs? Sorry, off topic, but just had to say it.
But Loghain gets a statue though

And when you talk to your companions, only one, Wynne, would let me mention Alistair's name....I was hurting, and I wanted to talk about my dead friend and mourn him, and no one would let me.

And Wynne doesn't even care. Still, it's better than talking to her about Loghain. She seems to think he got more than he deserved and acted like him sacrificing his soul to save everyone was worth nothing. How did he screw her personally over again? Ostagar? Didn't she admit that the mages were the first to flee?
Wynne is a pompous, arrogant foolish child in the body of a rotting old woman that should have died a long time ago. I wouldn't try to make sense of her feelings.
Afterall, not only would she leave the Warden if he / she ruins some ashes, she actually wishes him / her to fail. And that's after bragging and whining how important the Wardens are and why she seeks to help one. Ugh Alistair is one thing. Wynne is on a whole new level.

My male char (I have two, but only like the one, human warrior) has managed to pull both Morrigan and Leliana. It was a bit creepy about Leliana, but not overly so. I have experienced that kind of thing in the first flush of attraction. I like Morrigan because she is played by Claudia Black, and I adore her char in Farscape.
The banter between Morrigan and Alistair is always worth listening to.
My least fave character is Oghren. Just can't stand him and if I could do the Branka thing without him, I would. I resent giving a space to him in my team.
Sten is .. okish. Not my fave char, but not my most hated.
Shale is lovely, but I still don't get why everyone says it's a she?
So yes, most hated is def Oghren.

Leli, sten and alstair can be annoying(makerx1000/"NO"/whining) but they have their redeeming charms.
Zev and Shale crack me up.

I really like Oghren too so it's hard to see what's become of him in Awakening.Bookman230 wrote...
I think I'm the only one who loved Oghren. As in, favorite companion ever. I felt a greater bromance with him than Garrus. But least favorite companion I don't know. They all had thier moments. But I haven't played Awakening yet, so I may just hate a companion yet.

@Tindl (sorry if i misspelled the name), you find out why we are calling Shale a 'she' in Orzammar.

Have you done Shale's personal quest? If not...then do so and you'll find out. You need to either take Shale with you to the Anvil of the Void (and side with Caridin) or else talk to Shale after at camp, the return to Orzammar and do her quest. If you sided with Branka then you MUST lie to Shale at camp after about what happened with Caridin.

With one Warden, Sten was a valuable part of the team. Yet another Warden could not stand to have his orders constantly second guessed. Different quests aquire varied responses, and acheive unique reactions from the different Commander.
Dog is well loved, and is a part of the possible team each campaign, but has yet to be chosen to make the final stand. Sten and Zev were killed outright by one Warden, but have been valuable aid to others in charge.
And I have always liked Wynne. Nice to see someone that takes a convicted stand, and has not killed any children.

It's not her preaching that bugs me. It doesn't offend my sensibilities, after all, she's just trying to help, and I can appreciate the sentiment.. it's the canned responses you are forced to pick. They are SO awful. They make what could have been interesting, enlightening conversations amazingly tedious.
It feels less like Wynne is preaching at me and more like her writer has forced me into a corner to share their views without giving me the ability to respond wisely.

Wynne is just irritatingly self-righteous and hypocritical. Velanna is like a yelping chiuaua that nips at your ankles that you have the overwhelming urge to kick.
