Definitely Wynne; I don't care for her condescending attitude. I'd rather have Morrigan as a party mage.

I don't particularly care for Morrigan, but the banter between her and the others often has me in stitches. In contrast, I often want to strangle Wynne when she speaks.

I'm kind of amazed the Qunari are as big a threat as they're described, when concepts like "doing things not directly related to (goal) can nonetheless help you complete (goal) in the long run" seem to elude them...

Shorter version: Sten, defending Redcliffe and going to Haven are helping us to ultimately defeat the damned Blight...

It's why he's a soldier and not an Arishok I suppose :P

Or because of it.

defending Redcliffe

No, it does not help you defeat the Blight, you can let the village fall and it will not matter in the slightest in the long run. Going to Haven however does, I guess he just doesn't grasp politics at all.

That's because he's a sten, and not a politician. Qunari aren't taught to think outside their alloted roles in life. Turtles and shells and all that.

I don't think it is simply because he is a sten. But more because the Qunari way does not deal with backstabbing politics, so he does not understand why you need Arl Eamon in the first place. ( save for his troops ) [/quote]

That as well. (But I do like Sten very much, and I don't like Arl Eamon so he has a point!)

Loghain. Actually, he doesn't even quality because he is a rotting corpse.

After that, Morrigan. I hate people with that kind of superiority complex, she's no better (and no more justified) in that regard than any other pubescent "lololol i rulez u droolz n00b lololol" brat. Wish there was an option to whip her skanky arse all the way back to Flemmeth in disgrace.

Then Sten. Another jerk with a superiority complex, yet not nearly as superior as he thinks he is. I bet he wouldn't be capable of functioning in a "normal" society and be proud of that to boot. Then there's that dig about female warriors which he never admitted he was wrong about. I think my alts will just leave him in his cage, if I ever get around to replaying the game.

Morrigan and Sten think they're superior? I never got that from them at all.

I distinctly remember Sten saying, "I have been mistaken. You are a soldier worthy..." /shrug.

I actually really don't like zevran. He's horrible. Oh and oghren is annoying in awakening, but I didn't mind him in origins.

I get it big, big time. No one is really worth their notice, except when they want to verbally ****** on someone. And neither of them is as smart as they seem to think they are.

I distinctly remember Sten saying, "I have been mistaken. You are a soldier worthy..." /shrug.

After you bend yourself into a Gordic Knot for him, he deigns to acknowledge you as kadan, yes. Same for Morrigan. Doesn't make either of them less of a jerk in general, or to anyone else, though. It was extremely out of character for my gal actually to put up with them for as long as she did. And I don't remember the gender issue is something he ever acknowledged as being wrong about, specifically.

It should really be possible to kill Morrigan. Or at least fight her and have her flee badly wounded.

And ah yes, dishonorable mention to Oghren. There really needs to be at least one "break his jaw" dialog option for sexual harassment.

lol Korva, you hate all my favourite characters. I find Morrigan and Sten hilarious to have around. (Morrigan doesn't often make it to the final battle, though, on account of the fact I usually turn down her special request. Too bad).

Yeah, but your character has no way of knowing that.

The only character I dislike at all really is Oghren, although I think Alistair and Zeveran both try a little to hard to be charming/funny.

The only characters I find actively annoying are Sten and Oghren. I'm way too talkative to like Sten (the stoneheadedness is bothering me too, there's a qunari for you). As to Oghren, I just find him.... boring. A walking caricature that pisses on the table.

It's funny, when I kill him, I feel bad and have to reload..

And then he sits in my camp doing nothing for the rest of the game :P

Oghren has a moment or two where I do like him: his farewell at the Denerim gates, and the epilogue in which he names his daughter after the Warden. Otherwise, yeah, I find him to be a big disappointment because he is a boring, annoying stereotype, when dwarven culture has much more potential. Bioware really dropped the ball there, IMO. Gorim would be leagues better as a companion.

I like Oghren but I'd trade him in for Gorim in a heartbeat. Image IPB

Remember to give reasons!

I don't like Morrigan. I hate her. She is a difficult person: selfish, contemptuous, mean and has no social skills. Sten is a bit difficult too, but not as annoying. Leliana is boring: like someone already said, good idea bad execution.

I like Wynne: she is kind and wise. She always has something actually intelligent to say. I loved the long chats with her. Although I didn't like when she (at first) criticized my romance. I'd like to know someone like her in real life. I liked Alistair too. He is funny and very faithful to what he believes in. Sometimes his childishness is a bit annoying. I also liked Zevran (even though I would avoid people like that in real life). His comments are clever and funny.

I didn't really get to know Oghren and Shale.

I vacillate depending on the character I'm playing. Wynne does get a bit preachy, Morrigan is a bit acerbic, Lelianna sometimes too sweet, Zevran is at times (mostly) too slimy, Ogrehn well he's always drunk, Sten is sometimes a bit too stoic, Shale is just scary, and Alistair is sometimes a little childish. However, the only one I absolutely cannot stand is Velanna. She is so bitter. Then when she starts warming up, she is insecure and needy. I just don't like her at all with any character I've played in Awakenings to date.

Oh, yes Gorim instead of Ogrhen for the win!
