What the hell do you care? You like doing speedruns, he likes playing on a level 20 character shooting stuff in the face. What's fun to you isn't necessarily fun to him and vice versa. As I said, it's not a constest to see whose dick is biggest.

Cause he said killing everything "takes more skill".  If he wanted to show his kill, he'd do kasumi's mission at level 3. Everyone knows once you get high level the game becomes retardedly easy.

You're still stuck on the dick enhancement part.

Plus, as I understand it he meant killing everyone in record time takes more skill than speeding through in record time. The simple reason for that is that a lot more player skill variation is involved in killing speed than sprinting and using heavy weapons. Also, accuracy, tactics etc can have potential room for improvement much more than knowing which spawn points to exploit and which route to take.

You completely ignored the point, and propped up a strawman to poke at. He's the one out of the blue who said it took more skill, so why doesn't he play his character at a time when it takes more skill to play? And your proxy argument for him, is flawed. You can look at the video he showed to see that. All he does is walk up to things and shoot them point blank. That's some great tactics and accuracy metrics.you'd have to brain dead to believe/argue such.

cruc1al, no need to argue with this guy. He obviously has issues. Let him do his "speed runs". It's pretty obvious what is the general understanding of the term speed run as it applies to ME2 - just go to youtube and type in "mass effect 2 speed run". You definitely don't see parkour videos. Anyway, I'm out of this thread since there's no arguing with vhatever. It's up to the rest to determine what takes more skill.

And he's still arguing what a "speedrun" is. ROFLMAO.

He doth protest too much.

Even wikipedia has got the 411.

Anyways, Garrus's mission is done. Not many vanguard ticks able to be done on this one, so it needs dealt with the old fashion way. Had I know mister skill-centric was going to throw a fitt I would have made this a flawless killing spree.

The wikipedia article says "...with the intent of completing it as quickly as possible, optionally under certain prerequisites." One such prerequisite is killing everyone. Hence the definition does not rule out BeresaadSoldier's understanding of 'speedrun' in ME2 context.

Are you his mother, or something?? ME2 has maps with infinite spawning, hence that could never be the understood meaning of the word. Including the very mission he linked.

No, honestly are you dumb? First off it wasn't me who had a fit, it was you and here it is:

And
for the record I still think killing everyone on the way is more fun
and requires more skill than just pressing the sprint button and
occasionally taking cover.

And for the record, you
are nuts.

It not only takes more skill to do a speed run(I can
play the entire game with a sentinel, soldier, or infil and essentially
never die), it takes far more intelligence, too. Any chimp can sit there
all day safe behind cover or what have you. You might think some look
easy, fair enough, but you didn't think of them.

Let's see you
finish grunt's mission in under  6 mins 30 seconds.

Let us all
know how many times you die trying to complete the feat, even with you
being able to copy all my strats to try it.

2nd of all en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notable_games_for_speedrunning Scroll down to Quake Records: "Such runs are categorized in two types and difficulty levels; 100% runs,
in which it is required that the player kills all monsters and finds
all secrets on every level, and runs without this requirement."

Suddenly you're the one and only person the whole ME2 community should listen to when it comes to defining a speed run as it applies to ME2? Get a grip, kiddo.

Could you also please provide evidence as to which areas of ME2 have infinite spawns? I'd like to know which ones they are cause I smell bull****. Kasumi's loyalty doesn't have infinite spawns cause they're triggered by the Gunship's defences.

I thought you were out of this thread? why is it I ask you a question and Cruc1al answers, and I ask him one and you answer?

There ar eplenty of initnite spawns in ME2, the fact you don't know such is quite revealing.

Anyway. I uploaded a brainless AI grinding speedrun.
You'd probably like it.

Yes vhatever, of course I'm his mother, I thought that was obvious, duh.

ME2 has zero infinite spawns as far as I'm aware. Plus, even if ME2 does have infinite spawns in a couple of maps, it just means those particular maps wouldn't be useful for kill-all-speedruns unless other conditions were applied as well. So my point stands. Now quit with the insults already, it's pretty juvenile you know.

I just freakin posted a video that has infinite spawning elements, FOUR of them. Regardless of your ignorance of such things, the very mission he posted he did not kill everything. He only killed one or two groups of men at the end, when there are far more than that. He purposely shortened the mission by the things he did, so he did not get a chance to kill many more groups of men, which he could have.

So, he performs actions to dramatically reduce the amount of men he has to kill before he finishes the mission and that's peachy.

Your comments have been only derogatory in this conversation. No point in wasting any more time with you - you may be right, I may be wrong, or you may be wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that you're a **** to have conversations with.

Aww, I'm so sorry, <r\\/<1@l, that I upset you and your boyfriend. I'm sorry you failed basic logic, and that you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Please come back, you make a great clown.

You aren't biting, you are just posting a response, huh?

Look, either get the hell out of the thread or stay on topic.

lol @ vhatever. Thanks for the great laughs dude. Also, please try being less of a hypocrite cause I'm not the only one laughing. I killed everyone that spawned on my video (unlike any of your vids) and ended the mission, so your argument fails. Also, shortening the mission on purpose by things you do is the very definition of speedrun, kid. I'm starting to think you've got down's. On your vids you show how you avoid even fighting people, and you call my run peachy? LOL Keep it up, numbnuts, you entertain me.

Yep, not biting, just posting a response. Why? I was hoping you'd care about what I have to say. And since you're responding to what I'm saying, you obviously do.

Meh. You can shave a huge amount time of horizon, but you kind of have to get lucky. Lame. Luck plays a bigger roll in a lot of these speedruns actually. One change in mob pathing and it can completely change how you progress. Not counting, of course, bugs, and vanguards got plenty of those already.

Welp, Horizon's done, about 7 mins. Don't try this one at home, kids. Heh. It's not too bad, last part requires a bit of luck. Was quite fun destroying horizon after it gave my first chaarcter(adept) such a hard time my first time ever playing through it. Was on insanity, too.

Removing link.

Man, does anyone know of any good compression software that can handle AVI's? I'm using this basic windows compression and it turns a 2 gig file into a 10 to 100 meg file, it sure loses a lot of quality. No way to improve it, either. Playing at a lower reso I don't have much quality to lose to begin with =x.

I uploaded a better compression of the horizon run, but it really isn't that much improved once youtube compression rapes it. I suppose the jury is still out on it, since it says it's still processing.

If you're still interested...I use Fraps. Plus TMPGenc Xpress to encode my videos into .mp4, 1280x720 HD. See the video of my sig to see the results (original .avi size of it: 13,3 gbs ---> .mp4 compressed: 578 mb).

Plus, TMPGenc Xpress is incredibly easy to use.

Well, that's good information for someone to have, albeit 7 months removed from when they asked.
