It seems like I am stuck on the start screen of ME2 while it's trying to connect to the Cerberus Network forever. I don't get any timeout, it just keeps trying. It was working fine yesterday and there were no firewall / router configuration changes on my side since then.
Anyone else having this issue? I have a feeling this is EA related, hope I'm wrong.

So when you try to connect the actual game isnt lagging at all? Like the menu is stuck etc?

The menu is frozen while connecting, only there is no timeout or error so it goes on forever.
Here's what I did:
1. Manually disabled the internet connection
2. ME2 reported network unavailable so after this I was able to use the ingame menu. I disabled the Auto Login to EA Account option in Extras->Options->Online
3. Enabled the internet connection and started ME2 the second time. The connect button does not appear at all and the menu is stuck forever.
4. Started ME2 for the third time. After this the connect button appears and I'm able to login manually (and quite fast) to the Cerberus Network
I tried 1-4 again and it does the same thing. Only on third run I'm able to connect manually. This is somehow weird. Why would it connect manually but not automatically?
As I mentioned before, it worked fine until today and no configuration was changed, physical or software.

What I originally would of said it that your pc may not be good enough and freeze's whenever you try to connect therefore making it last forever, but seeing as you say that it only just started happening, I am not sure, I will research into this for a while, Ill reply when I think of anything.

I had what sounds like the same issue, but it was only after installing the patch. After 3 chat sessions with EA Help, I was told to uninstall, re-install and play without the 1.01 patch. I can play now, but seems silly that the only solution they offered me was to remove the patch. Firewalker won't work either. I have Kasumi, but haven't even tried it since I am growing tired of uninstalling and re-installing the game.
My computer exceeds the minimum specs and I have no issues without the patch.

Whatever it was it's fixed now. So it was probably a problem on the server or maybe network congestion. I had patch 1.01 since the very first install and it worked fine along with the Firewalker add-on until it failed to connect or timeout.
