I'm just about to make a new agressive Adept and run him through the game, now that I can get Kasumi and the Hammerhead.

I had an absolute blast playing my Energy Drain Adept the last time - no-one could stand against him. How do Flashbangs compare to Energy Drain? Are they effective against shields? Do Adepts even gain much from them, considering things like Singularity and Shockwave?

I'll be playing on Normal.

I think Flashbang's strength is the disorientation it instills on enemies grouped together. I'd figure Singularity would work better in such a case. Also, Flashbang needs to be aimed properly, whereas Energy Drain is line-of-sight instantaneous.

But I really like Energy Drain, so there's a bias.

on Normal? Flashbangs really not that necessary, but energy drain makes you have powers for all enemy types. Also, sine you need to aim the grenades, kasumis flashbang is much more effective on her, because its instantaneous when she uses it.

Flashbang functions like a area concussive shot plus weapon overload plus crippling slam all in one.

For Kasumi, its probably overpowered since hers is instant. For Shepard, not so easy to use. Without any indication of where your grenade is going to land, I found myself always under cooldown because my grenades were either too wide or too short. Not really worth the trouble if you ask me.

Cheers dudes, I'll stick with my zapper power.

I watched Average Gatsby's videos and I was a little unsure as to how useful it'd be, as he threw a lot of grenades that justed ended up bouncing off into the scenery. Not my thing, but i would have picked them if they were an alternative shield breaker.
