one the collector ship i think i misunderstood the specialization part, i was an infiltrator and i just picked sniper rifles to get the better rifle, could i have picked assault rifles or shotguns and used them as that class? if so could i crosss specialize weapons with any class? sorry i am new lol

Yes. If you picked the Shotgun or AR you would be able to use them on said class. However on an Infiltrator the Widow is just godly, and generally accepted as the best choice. (Depends on your playstyle of course, but that sniper is amazing.)

As an Infiltrator if you pick up the Sniper Rifle [which you can use sniper rifles already] then you get the Widow. On the other hand if you choose "Assualt Rifle Training" you can use any of the assault rifles that your squadmates can use. You don't get the option to get the Uber Assault Rifle as an Infiltrator.

Agreed. I've heard that the shotgun works well for Infiltrators but realistically, the Widow comes into it's own when wielded by an Infiltrator. You've got your Carnifex and Tempest for everything else (I love those two guns).
