I did, appeared to be most logical thing to do at the time. Never knew he'd try to sell my corpse, though.

Kahoku a traitor? Please, here merely wanted to find some rogue former part of the Alliance had done to his crew.

Also, being able to call in a favor from a powerful ally is always welcome. Right, Feron?

Promising Intelligence that would put the Alliance in a dangerous position to an Information Broker who would sell that intelligence at cost is dangerous and makes Kahoku a traitor to the Alliance.  Regardless of hte Cerberus connection.

The data didn't contain anything about the Alliance, did it? Or are you referring to the fact that Cerberus used to be part of the Alliance?

The Data did contain information about the Alliance because that is where he found the information about Cerberus.  The link between the two itself would be damaging to the Alliance and Human interests.  There is a little more in that conversation but I need to play the questline again.  It was very clear though the last time I played Mass Effect (about a month ago) that Kahoku was selling out intel classified by the Alliance to an Information Broker which would put the Alliance and Alliance interests in a dangerous position.
