how can i get vaughn to talk in the arl of denerims dungeon i just hear a snore

i want to talk to him but cant

What do you mean snore? He should be in a prison cell and you right-click on the gate to initiate dialogue.

ps3 version i click on both the door and him and all i hear is a snore i leave and come back still just snores i try diferent ways of doing the level still he just ****ing snores!!!!

Hmm, well I have no idea I've never seen him snore in his cell.

I've had similar problems on my xbox version as well but oddly enough on my current playthrough I actually managed to open the cell door

I believe you have to stand a bit away from the cell door. Trying talking to him form a distance.

Tell him his bedroom is being used by the guards for hanky-panky.  That'll get his attention.

I have the PS3 version and I know exactly what you mean. There are two "click" options. One clicks on him and the other clicks on "Cell Door". You want to click on cell door. You have to stand back a bit to make that option appear. Otherwise, you only have the option to "talk" to him in which case he just snores.

I am playing on the PC version and had the same problem last night. Not sure if I did something that caused the issue or if it was a bug. So I just continued on.

I have this bug. Also with the soris? (red haired elf in other cells). I think for me, if i clicked the other dude in the cell block first(mad templar), i couldnt then initiate convo with Vaughn, so reloaded and did Vaughn first. Seems like a common bug.

It's a bug - you should be able to initiate the dialog by clicking the cell door:

I think Vaughan is a pretty cool guy. eh snores in prisons and doesn't afraid of anything.

Hmm... I think, if you are not a city elf, you need to be sure to ask Soris why he is locked up... At least on the PC, Vaughan doesnt show up if you dont ask.

Why just let him rot in his cell when you can get his key from him, taunt him a bit, and THEN let him rot in his cell?

You right click on the cell door to get him to speak...that's what i did. For all of them in fact. You really need to talk to Vaughn to get his room key which he will give to you...a nice sum awaits for you .
