After looking at the Bioware-made levels, they have a lot of small, low intensity baked lights throughout with soft shadows set to 'size=1' and 'samples=15' or something similar.
I've been playing with these settings a lot while building my level, trying to figure out what difference it makes, but I can't see any difference between even two identical lights, with one that has soft shadows enabled (size 1 or more, samples 15) and one that has no soft shadows (size 0, samples 1, the default).
Does anyone have any insight on this?
