Screw Bioware and EA, never will buy again! Don't ignore this Bioware!

People need to stop, step back and breathe a bit. Let the developers do their jobs and correct the issues that exist as efficiently as they can. Support takes time, and to expect a prompt response immediately after a large release isn't always realistic. Feel free to complain all you like, but complaining generally will not get you what you want immediately. Like most issues, they'll be fixed eventually.

To those who own the 360 version and plan to play through DLC, don't expect achievements for this game or the servers or MS is bugged and are not registering actual gamerscore points. The worst part in this ordeal isn't the gamerscore, though it is what I'm ****ing about in general, it is the lack of response from the Bioware or EA community on addressing this issue. I've posted, emailed, pm'd, did nearly anything I could think of to get an answer from either of these companies and I've come to two conclusions. 1.) They understand the problem is here and have made a decision not to reveal any information to the customers (NOT smart, VERY shady) or 2.) They funked up so bad that they're scared to release information because they know not what to do. Either way SHAME on you Bioware, you have loyal console customers re-selling the game immediately and strong talk of people NEVER buying DLC or even Bioware games again via console. Oh and yes there are reports of regular in-game achievements being glitched as well, like game freezing as achievement is being earned and can no longer be earned. Is this truly what you hoped to accomplish from not responding to your fans? Five years of developing and all the hype of release, when finally it hits our consoles problems and bugs(which of course we know will exist, no game is perfect) start making people think twice about your company. But you do nothing to appease your anxious fans, or in other words you don't give a damn about those who find this issue disturbing or to those who like achievements and do find them important. Nice work guys, I'm sure you'll fix this eventually? But when? One month, two, maybe never? Oh but by all means, I know nothing about sales or marketing a video game, it seems you've got the situation under control right? Shady, this was my first experience with Bioware, haha! To think I will ever buy any other game or DLC from you guys again, truly I hate you.
---For those who would like to respond with trollish taunts and self righteous opinions, it will affect me none, and I will only continue to post so if you do not approve or agree with what I say, move along.---
YOU SIR, ARE A NERD and an idiot.
Seeing as this is your first experience with Bioware you obviously are ignorant of the fact that Bioware produces video games for the PC and that it transports them to Console systems. Seeing as Achievement points is a relatively new thing for ONLY ONE CONSOLES you obviously don't know anything about the products you are buying.
That being said. WHOOO CAAAAAARESSS about some pie in the sky point system. I can give you some IDIOT point achievements right now for your achievements in this thread that will compensate for the lack of care of a PC game producer to care about some fake point system on a console.
Achievement points are a way to make your XBOX 360 profile better. What does a PC game producer like Bioware have anything to do with your XBOX 360 gamer profile? NOOOTHING. so gtfo and shut up!

@Legacy: you'd be wrong... there are Gamerscore points that also apply from any Games for Windows: Live games such as Fallout 3 and Dawn of War 2.
Further, all Gamerscore issues are Microsoft's domain and the developers have nothing to do with how they show or don't show (there was a huge stink about it with Fallout 3 too) but they resolved it by resetting the Gamerscore for the game in their system... but... it's the weekend in the US too... they'll get to it this coming week I'm sure (took 6 business days for Fallout 3 with a similar cross-platform release, not to mention all the DLC issues that game had)

Knights of the Old Republic? Jade Empire? Mass Effect? Pretty sure they were released on consoles first at least a good 6 months before then being ported to PC.
Also bare in mind that the PS3 has a trophy system similar to Xbox 360 achievement points.

However he is dealing with his problem, you cant decide for someone else what they buy their game for. Just because achievements are meaningless to you, doesnt mean they are to everyone else.

I mean, it almost makes you stop wondering why people make the switch and cut all associations with fellow PC'ers. The fact that someone on a VIDEO GAME COMMUNITY FORUM called someone else a nerd shakes the sides so much that it hurts, not to mention the demeanor in which this person is conducting himself.
Do try to keep in mind that as much as achievements might not matter to you (and its good to see that you have enough free time, non-nerd, to comment angrily on something that is of little concern to yourself), that the whole idea of 'video games' are just as pointless as achievements and also don't matter to a large chunk of the world. That indeed, as worthless as our achievements are, so is your entire game.

Lady on Phone 'Kelly':
I will send this issue off to my supervisors and I understand why you might be upset, what I need you guys to do is to post about this on the forums for both EA and Bioware, because surely they are looking at them all the time and will respond to you
Me: Well, thats the problem, nobody is responding
Kelly:
Even if they don't respond, they will likely have seen it and are working on it.
Me: Uhhhhh okay?
--------
Then theres the chat:
Rick: Hi, my name is Rick. How may I help you?
: Hello Rick?
Rick: Hi
: Sorry about that, was on the phone with EA customer support at the same time
Rick: No Problem
: Okay, so, my issue today is with *drum roll* Dragon Age Origins achievements on the 360!
Rick: You have reached technical support; we have no gameplay information that we can offer to assist you. Although many of our games are very technical in nature or difficult to play, the issue you are encountering is not with the game.
: Oh, but it IS with the game
: And this is what I'm here for
: Basically, theres a small (but rather vocal) group of us who have been hunting for answers to an issue that will have manifested itself within the first four days of ownership and currently has no response to\\
Rick: You may check our message boards for help and assistance. You can find the message boards at the below given link :-
http://social.biowar...m/forum/1/index
: I have done this, there is currently no response to this from devs or pubs
: Anyone who purchased the DLC within the first four days and played through it, got the 'achievement unlocked' for doing the achievement related things
Rick: You can surf the web and check out some of the major video game sites as they usually offer codes and gameplay hints for EA games. One major resource for Hints and Tips is http://www.gamefaqs.com .
: Which is all fine and normal. Because the xbox servers were not updated to handle the DLC achievements, even though they appeared in your system profile, they actually did not register with your gamertag outside of the system
: This has happened before with other games, so we went with the benefit of the doubt that the fix would be to simply recover your gamertag after the servers updated, and do whatever you had to do to get the achievement again
: HOWEVER, this has turned out to not be the case. Currently, anyone who got those achievements in the first four days has found that they absolutely. cannot. without a doubt. get them again
Rick: Please provide me your gamertag and EA account.
: Komrade Kayce (ea acct shiny_metal_ass@hotmail.com)
: Same ea acct handle too, Komrade
Rick: Please wait while I check.
: You can re-do exactly what you're supposed to do to get the achievement. Such as drinking this potion. But doing so unlocks nothing at all
: We've recovered gamertags, we've even gone so far as to delete all DLC and characters and pull the ethernet cable from the box, then try a clean play
Rick: I'm escalating your issue to our senior support for further investigation.
: they absolutely will not unlock
: Thank you
Rick: You will be contacted through email with in 24 hours with the solution to your problem.
: Will I? Because I submitted a ticket more than 72 hours ago on thursday with a 24 hour expected turnaround time
: Even updated it with further information, and have gotten no response
Rick: Please wait for few hours and surly you will get the response.
Rick: Is there anything further I may assist you with today?
: No, I guess not, if you have no answers for this
Rick: Thank You, have a nice day.
Rick has disconnected.

I swear to god, this is broken-dishwasher-from-sears level of horrible customer service, lol. At least Kelly was nice.

You're not making any sense whatsoever. Too much alcohol perhaps?
I think you should quote the right person next time. I could care less about achievements or gamerscore in a videogame (though I can agree it's a legitimate issue that needs addressing).

Complaining about a lack of support/response a few days after a global launch? Try being a grown up and just consider what their support teams are likely to be dealing with at the moment and then realise how insignificant your problem really is. Microsoft points are not a game feature you're lucky Bioware even discussed the matter with you and didn't bat you off to Microsoft.

This happened with Fallout 3 DLC soon after launch, have a bit of patience everything youve unlocked will be credited to you eventually. It was M$'s fault.

The problem is, this is completely different than the Fallout glitch. This was Microsofts fault the first four days. Its Microsofts fault that its still happening now, BECAUSE they didn't update their servers to support the DLC.
However, its the games fault for being programmed in such a way that even after an acct recovery (which fixed the Fallout issue, as well as any other issue that has ever been had with achievements not appearing such as with Magic: The Gathering DLC), the game still thinks that you have the achievement and will not pop it ever again. So Microsoft can't do anything further at this point, because its game code.
I wasn't talking with Bioware. I was talking with EA. This is going to need a title fix released by EA, likely written by Bioware. So when we say 'We need someone to aknowledge the issue around here', theres a reason why we're doing it around here, and not say xbox.com. And because this only really affects the people who bought and played it in the first four days, we've gotta get their attention as fast as possible before it gets swept aside like so many other EA related products. The Mister No It All achievement for the 360 versions of C&C, for example, still have no way to achieve them even years after release if you didn't get them the first opportunity you had. You can recover your gt, you can delete your savegames, you can play on a new xbox... if you're using the same GT that didn't get it, you never can. Ever again.
But to hell with Command and Conquer. I can accept not having an achievement that says I was too balls to the wall to play the tutorial. Dragon Age is only causing me grief because of how much I love the game, and fancy the thought of having a little 'medal' that says 'You drank the potion in wardens keep that was the culmination of years of torture and experiments on good people, good for you'.
EA chat support guy tried to punt me off to bioware though, haha.
