If they're aiming at a younger audience, then why isn't Mass Effect 2 a T Rated game?
Maybe they're focusing on younger audience than for ME1, but still not young enough to not keep it M rated.
WHAT A YOUNGER AUDIENCE ???
Mate think about what you just said ...!!!
This game is not FOR KIDS !!!!
Its for ages 16 and UP !!!
WEAK UP ALREADY :s
Dont remind me a young kid i saw the earlier day that played God of War 3
and saw the sex scene with aphrodite !!!!
Kids play only crash bandicoot and such style games
games with a little violence AND NO SEX
So that is a matter of their noob parents whom cant control them !!!

Cool story bro.
What is it so hard to understand in the idea that for an M rated game the average customer age is not equal to the average of all gamers who can buy M rated games? If that was the case with ME1, then ME2 could've been targeted at ages closer to the actual average age of the mentioned group.

Don´t know about the situation in USA / UK, but in Germany it´s because the people who rate videogames are the biggest dumbasses you can imagine. I wouldn´t be surprised if it´s similar elsewhere.

Yea. They can´t control the internet though. Well they make certain games unavailable at Steam, but Steam sucks anyways, and they can´t control the filesharing sites.

From Greece?...you lucky bastard.
How is nudity treated there, with such an abundance of 'naked' art?

You know, America isn't the only country in the world. Outside of America, hard as it may be to believe, Mass effect 1 and 2 have different age ratings.
So can people please stop acting like the only rating system around is ESRB (a system I'm no fan of). In England, Australia, Germany and other countries they are either rated 12 or 15 upwards.

On topic, I don't really think it needs to be involved, but I'd have no problem as long as it didn't go over the top and was tasteful-pretty much the ME1 romance scene. They don't really need anything more explicit then that imo.

I get what you're saying, but that was partly due to issues getting the rights.Blk_Mage_Ctype wrote...

No offense, but the game's target audience seems to be primarily American. Think of the Bioware Bazaar, for American's only.

And I read that in Germany, the depiction of animal cruelty and blood shed in games are more sensitive issues than nudity. Is this true?
Interesting how each country has it's own taboos.
I am from the U.S. and well....
