You know, adult people can have sex without love and there's no problem about it. I don't see why it must always be related to love. That doesn't mean they should do porn, those films are completely unreal.

I thought it was pretty clear that BioWare was scared senseless by Fox news after they really toned down the sex scenes for ME2. I have a hard time believing that BioWare is now going to do a 180 and simply start including nudity which would without a doubt get them in even more trouble than before.

On a related note, I bought The Saboteur the other day. (GameStop/EB has marked it down to $20!) That game does have nudity and even has a DLC that contains nothing other than a dart game and 4 scenes of topless women dancing. The novelty wears off after about 10 seconds. Nudity in a high profiled game like ME3 probably isn't worth the drama or stress that would naturally accompany such a decision.

Thats not really the nudity that is needed for a love scene. There are asari strippers all over the universe, and making them nude would add nothing at all to the game. Nudity during a love scene is a completely different kind of nudity and is not artistically comparable to porn, exotic dancing, or other gratuitous T/A displays.

@exterminator: I'm glad you seem to support nudity, but geez man, just go look at some of you posts. Your just spamming without adding anything, you really are. It's doesn't help our cause at all. Sure, it´s not artistic or anything, but it would be more realistic and it would make watching them fun.

I agree it would make it more realistic (and I wouldn't mind the eye candy), but the point I was making is the difference between gratuitous nudity compared to scene-dependent nudity which helps the impact of the romance.

I thought they were right on the mark with ME1. There was no explicit nudity, but the love scene was very well done. And then they totally failed in ME2 (and in DAO). Miranda's scene wasn't that bad, but Jack's was just befuddling. Which really sucks, because I love Jack; she's my favorite character out of both ME games. But in her scene, it's like they're acting like the clothes aren't there, but they are. The result is more confusing than sexy. And don't even get me started on Morrigan in DAO actually putting ON a bra before sex.

It's not like I just want to leer or anything...like I said, ME1's love scenes were a triumph despite no real nudity (for the most part). Clever camera angles can avoid the nudity (for the purposes of rating) without sacrificing ambiance. Much better that than tacky things like dry humping or dirty grey underwear.

It's difficult to argue for more nudity without feeling like you are sounding like a pervert, but seriously, it's not just to see some digitized boobies. The ME games have a very cinematic feel, so sometimes I tend to look at things like a director or something. Weird things like that are very jarring, and sort of ruin the moment.

One thing in that regard where ME1 even failed was the way Shepard is sort of standing there at the end, fully clothed. It's like...wait...how much time has passed? It doesn't seem like it's "the morning after" or anything, so did he/she just immediately get up and get dressed in like 2 seconds flat? It's just...weird.

I hope in ME3 they worry more about making a cohesive scene rather than arbitrarily throw in these clunky attempts at censorship. They did it in ME1, so it's not impossible.

This is the kind of ignorance we are trying to dissuade. Why do so many people immediately associate nudity with porn? Have you really never seen a tasteful love scene with nudity? Or perhaps you don't think much of the female (or male) body beyond sex?

Seriously, I'm not that old (31) and I love me some good sex, but I stopped anchoring nudity to sex over 10 years ago. It amazes me that one of the most mature posters in this thread was that 14 year old a few pages back.

EDIT: Not trying to dis the earlier well spoken posts before tirigon and exterminator took over. Lots of good posts scattered through this thread. Shame it got assaulted by spam like it did.
