I think 'romantic' is a very subjective term. A 14-year-old boy and a 40-year-old woman probably aren't going to conjure the same images about the word. So when we debate what is romantic and what isn't, we have to remember that our own point of view is the major determining factor. I'm sure lots of teens thought the Miranda scene was 'romantic' because they think of romance primarily in terms of the sex act itself. By the same token, a woman as old as me (41) finds too much focus on the sex act to be the opposite of romantic. I thought the Garrus romance scene was somewhat goofy, but much more 'romantic' than the Jacob scene. A younger mind would probably feel the opposite. Gender plays a role too, I think females in general are less interested in the physical mechanics of sex and more interested in the emotional component, for males it is generally vice versa.

I don't mind nudity in general, but I certainly think it has to be handled with care. Too much nudity and it loses its impact, too little and it seems odd by it's absence. All the 'snuggle' scenes in Shepard's cabin look peculiar to me, since both parties are always fully clothed and don't even have a sheet pulled over them. What are they supposed to be doing, taking a power nap? Hardly romantic.

Both your examples (Underwear!Sex vs Mod!Porn) are extreme ends of the spectrum, I don't think either is what the people who are advocating tastefull intimacy/nudity are looking for

Perhaps this has already been said, but I doubt nudity is a beneficial addition to this or any other game. A significant number of consumers may adhere to any number of religious or moral beliefs that are blatantly opposed to nudity, making such additions harmful to sales. I do not mean to imply that I would personally object, but it is not hard for me to imagine a more traditional person doing so.

I suppose it could be argued that games containing nudity have sold quite well before, but I would postulate that nudity itself was not the reason.

Just my two cents.

I am certain nudity sells well enough.
Be that as it may, I was under the assumption that people purchased
games for the purpose of enjoying the gaming elements. Nudity would add
little and less to ME for me, so I have the least bit of trouble
understanding why someone would buy a game based solely on that
stipulation. I do, however, understand how nudity might prevent someone
from making the purchase, hence my original post. Silly me, not understanding how nuidty sells a game.

Mostly when Nudity prevent someone  from making a purchase is  a mom that is buying games for the kids. Which in a M rated game I would expect the parent not to buy something like that for a 4 year old.


For adults, that are afraid of an ass shot I think their is something wrong with you, or it for religious reasons... These people tend to force there morals on the general public which I hate....
