Something more like ME1's love scenes would be nice, a bit longer though.
I think this is what people are asking for. We're not asking for a full on hardcore sex scene complete with a money shot. ME1 scenes were perfect. They were nude but it wasn't anything gratituous. It fit perfectly with the scene and how Shepard and their LI felt about each other.

If they did not say it about ME2, would you feel any different?Ryzaki wrote...
ME1 wasn't ever said to be approached like that.
The ESRB rating is the same - "Mature" (and BBFC has actually increased it from 12 to 15) and I dont see how not having boobz is helping them marketing something to the younger crowd. My interpretation of that is due to the sucess of the first game they decided to censor it to market it to the younger crowd and draw in more sales.

Yup but they did. And frankly it shows.

They do have boobs. Just not during an actual intimate adult scene. The boobs they show is more of the PG-13 cheap explotive variety.
And I doubt they'd change the rating in the middle of a series. Besides plenty of games are rated M that are marketed towards teens.

To those who say how unimportant nudity is to storytelling, let me remind you that from a storytelling/cinema POV, a love scene is as much a climax to a romance story as a final confrontation is to a good vs. evil story. If they can make a satisfying love scene in ME3 without nudity then I would feel satisfied with it. However, they already have shown they can do it correctly in ME1, so I can't really think of any reasons to pull back on what they started like they did in ME2 (outside of appealing to teens for increased profits). The impact really is more rewarding if it is done both tastefully and fully (instead of cheap camera cuts). After all, no one wants an in-game "boobie video" like off the internet. I spent a good deal of time romancing that given character, and am emotionally engaged in their business. That doesn't mean that it "turns me on".
This disappoints me. Even though I've read it before it still disappoints me.We still view it as... if you're picturing a PG-13 action movie. That's how we're trying to design it.

That's all personal interpretation. And frankly I already know everything I post you're going to claim is not immature to you and that will be true. Then I'll say that its immature to me and we'll start either going around in circles or just end it.
Then how does censoring some content help them in any way?
Because then they don't have to worry about the worried Fox News mothers recognizing the game from the box and telling little Billy he can't get that game. <_< Not to mention the negative press from soccer mom's throwing hysterics and pulling things out of their a** about the game that may not even be true. <_<
Though frankly the censorship to me if this is an M rated game. Makes no sense. No one but adults are playing the game anyways so why censor the nudity? What's the point? You don't censor the language or the violence so why nudity? What's so horrible about the human body that it must be covered up if its two consenting adults expressing feelings for one another?
Though I have to admit. Nudity would not work with the ME2 romances. Not to me anyways.

God of War was released more than two tears earlier. And really there was no real nudity in ME1 other than Liaras low-poly ass.Homey C-Dawg wrote...

Which makes them removing it even more mindboggling.

CD Projekt Red's The Witcher had some good parts (a proper mature story), but other parts were way way over the top (Geralt sleeping with anything that had breasts)
I liked that... You could collect all the cards as a sort of minigame. A bit like Pokemon cards, only with better graphics and better picturesB)
Aahh, Witcher...... Good old times.

Forgot original GOW had some. Does make it seem even weirder how Bioware is handling it though.
I could be wrong, but I don't remember hearing bad press about GOW. Bioware got bad press (snide accusations, WHACK!), and I know that plays a big factor in how timid they will be. Even the low-poly ass (Ashley in my playthrough

Having Miranda show her low-poly ass would hardly help the scene.
Not as the scene was portrayed in ME2 no, however a completly different scene more in the style of ME1. Softer lightning, more intimate might. You can still portray Miranda's desire to 'mark her rival's territory' by doing it in the engine room.

No because the scene was already trashy as all hell. That would just make it trashier.
Make a more intimate scene (preferably without all the needless let's screw in the engine room!!!) and yeah nudity would fit just fine.
Of course that would require the scene being mature in the first place which it wasn't. <_<

Off topic.
And Uzivatel, are you against nudity in general, do you think it should not be included in games at all? How about movies?

Anyways. Nudity has its place. I don't think anyone here wants nudity just for the sake of having it. But shying away from it displayed in tasteful manners does serve to give games their whole "its for kids" reaction from the general public.
So honestly we shouldn't be surprised when they get up in arms about it in games because games themselves haven't shown themselves capable of handling it very well. This will only be solved with more mature games dealing with sexuality and nudity in a more mature and less pubescent manner.

Not only does it have a nice ring, but what a great way to end the romantic relationships?
Now before you start proclaiming my virginity and demeaning me please hear me out.
It will make you care about the characters more, by literally exposing themselves to you the relationships become far more intimate.
Its not that taboo anymore because its becoming more and more frequent in gaming. Recent games like Heavy Rain and God of War have had it and was met with little or no fuss.
It pushes boundaries and thats what this series is all about. Taking the RPG genre as far as it can go. Its not too crazy of an idea and when done appropriately can be very tasteful and add to the gaming experience of ME3.

You really want nudity put on an alien mask and jack off into a mirror. Done. Next topic.
