i loved  Jade Empire and enjoyed it at least as much as DA:O . Too bad that BW doesnt continue it ,JE definatly deserves a part 2 imo.
BW should reconsider making a sequel to this outstanding game (though i doubt they will )...so ........:kissing:
............JE2 pls

i agree with you, i loved the game, the characters and the setting but aparently ive heard it was the least profitable of biowares games so there is probably no chance of it happening.. :(

I like the other BioWare games' themes better and rather see sequels of that... but I wouldn't mind a Jade Empire 2 either. Jade Empire was a good and fun game.

Combat needs fixed, the voice acting always seemed pretty emotionless, perhaps it's just the way Asian from (were ever it;s taken from) people talk, I dono. It would have been cool if the games was total in an Asian language with subtitles

While I support a new game set in the Jade Empire universe I do not think that Bioware needs to pick up where the last one left off, the story in the last Jade Empire wraped things up nicely and there is no need to continue along that storyline.

If they do make a new Jade Empire it should be based on a totally new storyline with a new protagonist.

Seagloom, you surprised me with your reply to my topic on Jade Empire...it was a gem. After reading your post, and the others too of course, to be fair...I got the game and was happy. You gave the best reply though, and helped me make up my mind.

Jade Empire2 with player character voice acting and modern dialogue wheel with interrupts would be fantastic.

I vaguely remember that thread. Glad you enjoyed the game then. :) The way I ramble at times I wonder if anyone takes me seriously. :pinched:

I do, for what it's worth. Which isn't much.

Oh, it's worth something or I wouldn't have replied. ;)

Edit: That came across as a bit rude to me in hindsight. I just meant to say thank you and that it's appreciated. Anyway... Jade Empire 2... want it... yeah. >.>

well maybe keeping this thread alive helps :)

tbh i never thought anyone would ever reply to this thread, im suprised.

sure BW will rather come up with another big title than givin JE a rebirth with a sequel, but the whole atmosphere+gameplay was something refreshing in contrast to all the Knight/elven/dwarf BS ( i dont count DAO/BG/BG2/Morrowind into that bc theyre truly gems) that i couldnt help myself and opened this thread.

Given the last generation graphics Jade Empire still stands as the most beautifully atmospheric RPG I have played. Can you imagine this generations graphics and deep RPG elements in a JE sequel..it would be amazing.

My wife is Chinese and she speaks with plenty of emotion. An ancient (fictional) language called Tho Fan was used in JE. I think that to much of that would be overbearing as the whole game would be in subtitles,

When people knock this masterpiece of a game they must take into consideration that it is last gen and cannot hold a candle to todays titles. I think this game released with todays technology and capability would be absolutely incredible but I have pretty much given up hope in ever seeing a sequel..I give it maybe 15% chance of revival.

I don´t know why everyone goes about the "Last gen graphics" and "no chance vs current titles".

Call me weird, but I think Jade Empire on the old XBox has better graphics than DAO for the PC. And definitely less bugs.

As long as it's not about mortals usurping the power of dead Gods to become Gods themselves I don't care.

Are you referring to the color palette by any chance? The color palette of Jade Empire is far more vibrant than Dragon Age's, and some find that brighter color palette preferable. That's a matter of taste, however.

Yup, Dragon Age and ME1+2 are much darker games. The graphics of those games are beautiful, but they are much darker, with a lot more brown, grey and black.

SWTOR and Jade Empire were both particularly vibrant. Jade Empire used a lot of bright reds, yellows, and even green. I love Jade Empire.

Jade Empire was a gem in my opinion and I would love to see a second game set in the same fictional chinese setting.  I actually enjoyed the combat and the whole feel of the game.  The game wasn't very profitable because no one seemed to know about it.  I try to stay updated on upcoming games and make it a point to find new RPGs, but I can't say as I really saw much in the way of advertising for Jade Empire.  Whenever I talk to people about BioWare games or great RPGs in general I too often hear the question "Jade Empire...what is that?"  I loan my copy out to everone I know who shows any interest after hearing me rave about how fun it is, and they end up really enjoying the game.  Heck, this thread makes me want to dust it off and play through yet again :D

In fact, JE wasn't my favourite game. Played it shortly after His Awesomeness KotOR and got a little bit disappointed. Too short, story too predictable, generaly no character customization, characters typical. I would rather see KotOR 3 (oh Maker, that would be so great. Don't laugh, YES, I still believe)

@Tirigon- Am I the only person who had no bugs while playing DA:O?
