Darcus, excessive anger won't get you anywhere fast either. Might get you a restraining order or two though...

I'll agree that excessive anger is pointless, and it's completely wasted on people who work in tech-support (who in this case weren't even told about the problem). Nah. It's the slow brooding anger you want, the kind of anger that prevents you from purchasing future Bioware games.

Admittedly I'm looking forward to reading about the sea of flames which will engulf and devourer Bioware raw once they release SWTOR though, unless of course they put an end to this horrible level of support with that game. :P

Hey guys, I'm a pretty big Noob...

And I don't know if this will work, but...I think I have a temp. solution

Why don't you just delete your game data and re play the game? Without the patches, of course. Since you deleted your game data, you also lose all your patches ( I think.) I'm not sure if this will work, by the way as I haven't tried it yet. But it will certainly give every Dragon Age fan their fix until the game is updated by the big guys.

Yes, this might work, but, sadly, only temporary. For a couple of hours, 4, 5 hours I played my game without crashes but now it freezes again.

And, one more thing - 3.30 update is the cause, not the patch. There is no way to remove the update, all we are able to do is sit on our asses and wait for the sodding Bio and Sony releasing the ****ING patch/next update which will remove the crash, already!

Problem is caused by the sony firmware update, so even if you play an unpatched version of DAO it'll still screw up on a patched PS3.

Bioware - Has the issue with the firmware effected the release date for Dragon Age 2?  I ask because of the rescourses used to find and correct the freezing.

Definetly does not work. Before discovering this forum I had gone as far as reformatting my hard disk.
Freezing still occured. Additionally I had tired turning off auto save, playing off line and so on. None worked.

And how can you place all the blame on BioWare with a straight face when it's not just Dragon Age that was messed up by 3.30? What happened to the other games and movies then? Did BioWare sneak into people's homes and wreck their stuff so everyone would think it wasn't solely BioWare's problem? Shame on them!

Of course it's Biowares problem LOL! Is this a serious comment? And of course they're fixing it because if they don't they have the problem of losing a lot of money and posibly going out of business altogether, you think by fixing this problem they are "being kind to us"? Is spending well earned money for a game that has been broken for a month kind? Is it f*ck! Bioware aren't fixing this as a favour to us they are fixing it because they have dollar signs in their eyes and thats all they care about, they have no chocie.

It's hard for me to hate bioware for this issue when Sony is the one at fault. They even had the balls to brick Heavy Rain, a highly anticipated game exclusive to THEIR system. Yeah, that should up the confidence of anyone thinking of buying a PS3. Honestly, if anyone is responsible for fixing these game crashing issues, it should be Sony. If these crappy firmware updates happen again, I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware (or any other third-party developer for that matter) would avoid making any more games for the PS3.

As far as I know, PSN only releases updates every tuesday.

True, but unfortunately I believe it won't be before Tuesday in the US and Wednesday in Europe due to the PSN updates. It would be nice though if Bioware would post if there's any news!

Alas, we agree on one thing finally. :D

Still can't see the point in people griping on the boards on a daily basis but Bioware sure as hell isn't putting a patch out as a courtesy to anyone.

To me that isn't a good enough reason, we've waited more than long enough now and this patch should be out to us ASAP.

Well, yeah, that's how capitalism works.  Still, I'm getting pretty damned impatient, cause I for one am going to wait an extra 2 days before I download the patch.  Better safe than sorry...

Makes no difference, if you don't download it then your game will still crash.

Come on Reece, cheer up! :D We're all in the same boat. We can only hope that Sony will not hold on to it forever, and actually put it out this week.
