"yeah me too ,no sooner than tuesday, no later than may 2020"
Speculation is useless ,it'll be up when its up.
And to be fair, red dead is out in a week or so, then games like Mafia 2, kane and lynch 2 and Crysis 2 will be out. No good fixing it just in time for it to get shelved AGAIN for the summer is it!?! So im sorry to say, after MANY posts on here about the issue. . . F**K Dragon age!!! Dragon age on ps3 officialy suck balls and im NEVER buying another bioware title on ps3 either.
Nuff said.

if you're 15 you shouldn't worry about a patch, because you shouldn't even be playing the game;)Dansharp1 wrote...

Your ingorance is blissful and delightful from a stubborn point of view. Dragon age graphically is choppy and distort, but the gameplay doesnt suck balls(when the patch for the 3.30 does come out from it's hiding it wont suck anymore). Red dead redemption looks good, probably will take a week or so to actually go through the storyline( I love taking the time and notice the scenery around the game graphics, what can I say?), Games like Mafia 2 and Crysis 2, Ill have to see because of their gameplay and graphics are meant to be played on the PC because of their original origin. and K&L 2? seriously? Ill see you those and raise you; Dead rising 2, Metroid Other M, and Star Craft 2-Dont forget about the coldest company ever. For the last thought, watch E3 and see whether you want to buy another bioware game for PS3 or not, they have said that they have something cooking from a interview and on their website. But to conclude, I think it's great that we will get a patch this week and not give us some false hope to wait on.

Perhaps I have a different point of view. While I'm no Bioware lackey, I do work in big business IT. and as much as clueless userfolk would think that bugfixes are simple, and that it's even possible to release software that's completely ironclad and will withstand any firmware/OS change, that's just not the way it works, folks. Years of testing and you'll still find bugs when it's released or the OS is updated. Mitigate risks all you want, you cannot prepare for every eventuality. Add to that the Sony giant corporate machine and their priorities and operating procedures for PSN releases, and this crap just takes time.
What's important is that the company actually did listen to us and put out a patch for a critical issue. Believe me, that doesn't always happen, they could have just ignored the whole thing forever. Yes, it took time. Deal with it. Grow up, take the big boy pill, and realize that a month out of your life away from DAO has not left you any more emotionally scarred than you were in the first place.

When I called Sony the first of 3 times on two different systems(I thought my first system was bad and for $150 for just a little bit more I could buy a new upgraded system) anyways on the first call I did not know there was an issue with the game because I thought my system just fried, and the person I talked to who seemed like reading a script to my questions said that it was my hard drive was bad and to send it in. The actual amount was $149 but I rounded it up for this post but they also said i needed to insure and send it first class since it was an older (40GB) out of warranty and they estimated between $20-30 depending upon how I shipped it. so on the upper end which I believe was through the post office would hit the $179 amount, but I was given my choice who I wanted to ship but the actual repair cost from Sony was $149.Sabariel wrote...

Wow. Sony is very inconsistent. I was asked for $179 to "fix" my PS3. Someone else on here was asked for $150 and they just asked my friend for $125. I'm wondering how they determine these odd prices
It depends on what is broken and what parts will need replacing, as well as if they need to have a climate controlled environment for the repair or not.
If we are pointing out ridiculous "repair" fees, how about Apple's USD 300 for "diagnosing" a computer?
I don't know what the $150 person told Sony, but both my friend and I basically said: "Some of my games have been freezing constantly since downloading 3.30" and after saying they had no knowledge of 3.30 causing problems Sony's response was: "It's your hard drive! Send us your PS3 and $179/$125!"
When I bought the 2nd PS3 and it did the same thing( Dragon Age is the only game I have and have not had any problems with movies) I called them again and explained my story again except this system was brand new. I then again got a scripted response that my harddrive was bad and is under warranty so will be repaired or replaced for free.
I called back a little later to try to get someone I could understand better and it was then suggested before I send my new one in I should contact EA and Bioware. Which was a whole different adventure.
The only possible idea on the price differences I can come up with is maybe how powerful the system is 20,40,60,120,etc but that is just a guess that I am pulling out of my rear end

I was thinking they would confirm today what was going to happen. If the fix is in fact coming tomorrow or Wednesday, you would think they would let us know by today. It's still a fairly early hour in my time zone so maybe we'll still see if someone from Bioware will post. If not, we might be looking at another week or so. They could post tomorrow that it's coming out tomorrow, but that seems a little late, no?
We'll see.

Yeah I told myself I would try to get the Platinum trophy for FFXIII but I got up to 49% of trophies and just got so bored of it that I couldn't go on, that game loses its entertainment factor far too early.

So FFXIII blows that much? I was afraid to buy that and see how @#$% was so i got demon souls instead. Thank God i got DS. Im enjoying it.
First play through is great but after that it pretty much blows, I'm waiting for DS to be released here in the UK which is June 25th, does it really live up to its hype or is it overrated?

"I can give you this much update, but I will also make an announcement as soon as we get some final keyinformation. The patch Fernando discussed has passed Sony certification both in North America and the EU and we're currently working with them on a deployment date. We're going to miss the window to get this released this week, but we are going to try and get released next week ASAP.
Again, I'll make an official announcement once dates are set. The firmware ordeal is almost over "
