I got the patch and was so happy as I love DAO to bits!!

BUT... 4 freezes in 45mins. its the same :(

I'm devastated and I know it will take more weeks to get a new patch up so..

I'm sorry I'm trading my limited edition in on friday when I buy RDR.

Not happy about it though.. loved this game :(

If the freezing still occurs with this patch that I've waited on for a month, I can guarantee this is the last piece of Bioware software I'll ever be spending money on. Good thing Red Dead Redemption comes out today!

oh dear...now THIS is a huge let down.

Did you try to start the game over without savegames? Maybe the old savegames are corrupted or something...

If not it seems that the guys at Bioware missed the real root of the problem...

i know what u mean... bought DA:O + awaking + all DLC's , never played without firmware 3.3 so I don't know how nice it is to play the game without freezes and spend a lot of money for the maingame + addons

tried new character too, deleted all savegames... freeze after ostagar

It was a fresh game, I thought I'd start anew and try a Mage. froze 4 times before I quit in disgust.

I wouldn't freak out till you've tried the patch yourself.

Someone with the NA version of the game should register for the EU PSN. I think that maybe because the EU patch was released when the US-patch was expected, maybe they uploaded the US-patch to the EU store accidently? And the NA patch does not work for the EU game...

Just a thought...

ok, seen as its fixed ill give it another go

(but only coz i started playin far cry 2 and it bores me to tears)

if it crashes again the disks going to be in several peices shortly afterwards tho. . .

and whoever said i should be more exited about dead rising 2 than kane and lynch 2. i WAS realy lookin fwd to DR2, im a huuuuge zombie film/game/comic/book fanatic!!!

but when they keep putting the release date back again and again i lose interest very easily.lol.

im grateful this patch is up aswel, but for those who dont like people ****ing about having to wait, were not all complete mugs and some people realy dont like spending hard earned money on things that dont work.

if you dont mind buying a game and it not working when you get it home, your 1 of 2 things. .

your either totaly Spoilt and dont realise the value of money

OR. . .

a COMPLETE mug and no messin!

I sure hope the patch works, I've put off downloading the update because of this and it's downloading right now!

My firmware is still 3.15....does anybody remember if the update was optional, or does it start automatically if I go online?

I´m afraid to go online with my PS3 now that the patch does not seem to work.

if you go online to connect with PSN, then your PS should ask you to update to 3.3

Yes, that is true. And I've been putting it off so it wouldn't freeze, but it's downloading right now. Should I cancel it?

the best way to update your firmware is to download it by pc and save it to a USB.. update you ps3 by using a USB data.. it is more safe than updating your ps3 using internet.

I think you can format your hard drive and everything should be the way it was when you bought the PS3; I AM NOT 100% SURE THIS DOES WORK FOR THE FIRMWARE THOUH.

But the downside would be to lose all savegames.

No, formatting the HD does not remove the firmware as thats saved in a special part of flash memory which is protected from formatting.

Been playing for about 5 hours, no freezing (previously had to save every 3 minutes or would freeze after about 10).

Great job Bioware

hmm if i format my hard drive, all data are lost... the savegames doesn't matter, BUT how should i get my awaking and DLC's that i buyed if i can't connect to psn without firmware 3.3 :o
