Wow you're either a pointless liar or your console or disc is faulty, which one are you choosing?

Wow such an unwarranted attack on someone who is simply stating the facts. Once again, & for the record, my PS is fine & in pristine condition (plays every other game i have flawlessly) & so is the DAO disk (played problem free until FW update 3.30). I'm no dummy... I can tell when a disk is scratched or when hardware is truly faulty so save your immature name calling for someone else & instead, how about offer a constructive solution. Because isn't that what we're all really here for?
The fix had no effect on MY system whatsoever...I'm not saying that others were as unfortunate as me or that the update is useless.
Be thankful that you can play problem-free brother because I wish I were in your shoes...

forget that guy, its called a correlation, quite a few people had problems after the update and quite a few people still have problems after the fix.... Me Ebay selling dragon age ....30$ with a disclaimer saying DO NOT UPDATE. This will most likely me Bioware's claim to fame.

Curios now. Do you have access to another PS3? Maybe a friend. I'd be interested if the freezing can be duplicated on another machine. Oh, and you have my empathy.

I'am puzzled with some ppl still having crash issue after the recent update. i for one had no problem reinstalling my dragon age origin including all dlc's and reloaded my 2weeks old saves. I would like to share what i did reinstalling and hope helps others



step1: delete Dragon age from game data utility



step2: go to system setting and restore default settings



step3: turn off and on your ps3



step4: install Dragon age origin



step5: redownload dlc's if you have and install



step6: play and enjoy

With Origins I had been experiencing the freezes every 20 minutes or so as well, but after doing the following I rarely get freezes and can usually play for 6-7 hours (game was on for 10 on Saturday as well and didn't freeze). Keep in mind I'm no professional I was just trying every possibility to stop the freezing;



1) Deleted all the game demo's I had downloaded



2) Deleted all the unnecessary Dragon Age saves I had (they're just taking up space anyway)



3) Disconected myself from the internet via Network Options -> Internet Connection -> Disable



Worth a shot if nothing else has worked.

All the best with that anyway have you thought could be your disc or ps3 causing the problem if not it has to be a source

Well, I did my praises too early I guess. Just had my first freeze in the middle of Dark Spawn Chronicles ... bummer...

I played a few hours with no freezes after the update to 1.02 , I´m not surehow long exactly cur i didn´t look at the time but it has to be 4 or 5 hours at least

Interesting idea. A co-worker of mine was experiencing the same problems as mine (pre 1.02). She has just installed the fix so I myself am curious if it works for her. We both got our copies from the same store, around the same time & both have 2 separate games saved...so timing & setup are similar. For now thats the closest I can get to attempt to duplicate the freezing but I'll let you know.

I just played about 2 and half hours straight with no probs. I just got through last half of ostagar and lothering with no freezes or anythin. I am about to do the bercilian woods, people said it was where loads of freezes were happenin i will try and see wot happens. I havent had any probs so far so hpefully ( really really hoping) my game is fixed. Hope this works...

Soz about u guys still gettin probs tho, you have my deepest sympathies (you really do)

I have play for 4 hours with the patch and now i had my first freeze. This patch sucks!!! BIoware FAIL! I will not buy another game from bioware, is ****! Bioware or melo or sony or someone have to make something!

The 1.02 Patch IS FOR DARKSPAWN CHRONICLES ONLY!

The Real patch is yet to come out, i'd proberbly take this "Delay" as commendation to buying Darkspawn Chronicles

The reason why everyone is having different results could be becuase of ps3 type, i was told by Game staff member dat sometimes patches and things affect different ps3s differently.

My ps3 is very recent slim model. Soz dont no techy stuff.

But my game has been going gr8 so far, but haven't really been playin more dan 2 hrs at time and takin it kinda slow. like saving slightly more often dan usual and goin slow when save in progress.

thats possible cause i too got the slim ps3 and i also think sony is cheating on ppl.

I have an 80g Phat and have run DA:O since the patch for the firmware issue, which also had the trophy info for Darkpawn Chronicles. I have had playtimes of 90 minutes(Darkspawn Chronicles), 5 hours and 3 hours (New Character) with no freezes at all.

But I also when the freezes started to happen after the firmware updates stopped playing DA:O as to not have the crashes which could corrupt save files.

Seems I better cross my fingers and knock on wood and all that stuff. I haven't had any freezes so far.
