Lilly: Did you ever experience a freeze before the FW update? I did not play it nearly as much as you have but I do recall it freezing on me at least twice before the update. After the update the freezing increased dramatically but since the patch I have yet to experience one (playing on a fairly new slim).

Is it really true that the PC version is less prone to crashing? I haven't owned a PC built for games for about ten years but back in the day Starcraft crashing was the bane of my college years.

Why isn't anyone taking no notice of my previous post?
The 1.02 Patch IS FOR DARKSPAWN CHRONICLES ONLY!
The Real patch is yet to come out, i'd proberbly take this "Delay" as commendation to buying Darkspawn Chronicles :(

False.

After 1.02 patch I now have my DLC (dragon blood armor, embry's many pockets, shale, etc.) that I couldn't see as "purchased" before - now working fine.  Image IPB

Also, played several hours with no freezes.  Image IPB

I expect I may still get an occasional freeze here or there - not expecting perfection.

Have had my first freeze now since installing the patch, 12h in, it seems like the patch ALMOST works Bioware !!

I've played for several, several hours after the patch and have experienced no freezing, there may be a problem with your PS3's(those of you who are still freezing)

I wish that were true, my ps3 isnt even 6 months old yet. Other games run perfectly except for the long load times in borderlands occasionaly but thats a knows issue. No overheating, dust free, etc.. Patience is the only solution for us still crashing constantly it would appear. Reinstalling DAO after a full restore instead of the quick restore. This is my last option. Crossing my fingers.

It is odd though, my first play after the patch i went 4 hours no freeze, now its back down to every time i begin a combat scenario it will crash, then reboot, kill those enemies, next wave=crash, over n over.

Well i started another elves game and i never got past 2 minutes without a crash, but after a Full Reformat i hadnt froze for a good 10 minutes, not a big accomplishment i know, but i gotta head to work, but still it gave me some hope. For all you still having issues, don't do a quick restore, do the full one, after i tdid the full this is the best ive seen things yet for me. Just something you could try.

This may sound crazy, but has anyone considered that the 3.30 patch effected our PS3's in slightly different ways? and thats why some of you are still freezing. That may be why the fix didn't work for everyone. Although I hope I'm not speaking too soon. If I freeze I will let you guys know.

I'am puzzled with some ppl still having crash issue after the recent update. i for one had no problem reinstalling my dragon age origin including all dlc's and reloaded my 2weeks old saves. I would like to share what i did reinstalling and hope helps others

step1: delete Dragon age from game data utility

step2: go to system setting and restore default settings

step3: turn off and on your ps3

step4: install Dragon age origin

step5: redownload dlc's if you have and install

step6: play and enjoy

Well, I'm gonna try that as soon as I put the kid to bed.  It's killing me to delete my 3 characters, but I suppose this is a good lesson in Dealing With Things That Annoy Me.

Froze again, 2nd time today, now in the battle against Sophia Dryden... im simply giving up this son of a crap programmed game now and buy it for PC when I can afford one.

Even Two Worlds for the 360 is better than this s*** in a technical point of view.

Game run smoother as well but for some reason Darkspawn Chronicles slows down a lot

No, I never had any issues before the firmware update, and I've been playing DAO since November. However, I played again yesterday, and had no problems. Fortunately it was just that one time on Darkspawn Chronicles after the patch.
As for the pc version, I didn't play it long enough. I didn't like playing the game with keyboard and mouse. I think it may also depend on your computer. As long as I played the game was running fine.

Just tryed playing again a minute ago, the first combat situation i got in, bam freeze. I completely give up. Absolutely nothing works. Ill let DAO collect dust until i hear of a new patch which will be months. So god da**** irritating.

I wish a solution would arise as to why some people have no issues at all and others have seen nothing fixed after the patch, i just dont understand.

Unless owning a ps3 fat 40gig is to blame, which makes no sense.

Both story and content wise i really love this game and all other Bioware games ive played, but compared to other Bioware products this really have some serious stability issues and sadly i invested in the PS3 version.

I dont really care for the cash ive wasted on this, I will just give it another go on the 360 or PC

somewhere in the future *sigh

the real patch is supposed to aloow us to play DA with no freezes. Not to get addons enabled.
