Is it really true that the PC version is less prone to crashing? I haven't owned a PC built for games for about ten years but back in the day Starcraft crashing was the bane of my college years.

Why isn't anyone taking no notice of my previous post?
The 1.02 Patch IS FOR DARKSPAWN CHRONICLES ONLY!
The Real patch is yet to come out, i'd proberbly take this "Delay" as commendation to buying Darkspawn Chronicles
False.
After 1.02 patch I now have my DLC (dragon blood armor, embry's many pockets, shale, etc.) that I couldn't see as "purchased" before - now working fine.
Also, played several hours with no freezes.
I expect I may still get an occasional freeze here or there - not expecting perfection.

I've played for several, several hours after the patch and have experienced no freezing, there may be a problem with your PS3's(those of you who are still freezing)
I wish that were true, my ps3 isnt even 6 months old yet. Other games run perfectly except for the long load times in borderlands occasionaly but thats a knows issue. No overheating, dust free, etc.. Patience is the only solution for us still crashing constantly it would appear. Reinstalling DAO after a full restore instead of the quick restore. This is my last option. Crossing my fingers.

I'am puzzled with some ppl still having crash issue after the recent update. i for one had no problem reinstalling my dragon age origin including all dlc's and reloaded my 2weeks old saves. I would like to share what i did reinstalling and hope helps others
step1: delete Dragon age from game data utility
step2: go to system setting and restore default settings
step3: turn off and on your ps3
step4: install Dragon age origin
step5: redownload dlc's if you have and install
step6: play and enjoy
Well, I'm gonna try that as soon as I put the kid to bed. It's killing me to delete my 3 characters, but I suppose this is a good lesson in Dealing With Things That Annoy Me.

Even Two Worlds for the 360 is better than this s*** in a technical point of view.

No, I never had any issues before the firmware update, and I've been playing DAO since November. However, I played again yesterday, and had no problems. Fortunately it was just that one time on Darkspawn Chronicles after the patch.Delior wrote...
Lilly: Did you ever experience a freeze before the FW update?
As for the pc version, I didn't play it long enough. I didn't like playing the game with keyboard and mouse. I think it may also depend on your computer. As long as I played the game was running fine.
