I'm not repeating the same thing just to get a reaction, people need to realise that this patch is not what they think it is..
Just played on DA Awakening, Played for about 1 hour before it got stuck on a loading screen. So really Sony hasn't resolved this completely.
Also, for all the people who can play it for like 5hrs, have you got a PS3 slim or the fat ps3? Just want to see if theres any correlation between the versions of PS3 models.

Models have nothing to do with it. I used to think that fat models didnt work properly but got some feedback that some people having issues have a slim. I have a 40 gig fat and I still had freezing issues. I played tonight for 6 hours with no crashing for the first time ever. After 4-5 crashes when i started playing i decided to power down and flip the switch in back. Then removed both cables in back and put them back in. After i did that i had no more crashing issues. My game Always used to freeze at the same part. The village u get to after encountering those bandits on the road. But it never crashed and i did several quests there. So far this has been my solution but im waiting to see how it holds up. FYI, this was a current save i was playing that crashed, and i then seemed to fix. So before you delete any hard work i suggest you try what i did, anythings worth a shot.

Why won't you lot listen?!
This "New" patch they sent out a couple of days ago WASN'T for the freezes, it was for DARKSPAWN CHRONICLES!
Repeating the same inane post hoping for a reaction each time is quite sad.
I find the fact that he obviously is not able to read a whole post quite funny. Maybe he should try and read the post about the patch(the one from BioWare) again. The only thing this patch did for Darkspawn Chronicles is that it adds the Trophies. But go ahead and "help" some more.

Because we tend to listen to stuff that makes sense. And you don't. Bioware acknowledged this patch WILL solve the crashing/hangs that occur since Sony released 3.30. What part of "will solve" don't you understand?
No crashes anymore here, patch works fine!

Right from BioWare's mouth:
We are very pleased to announce that there will be a PS3 patch available later tonight for the Playstation 3 version of Dragon Age: Origins. The patch is expected at 12 Midnight tonight PST for North America. We do
not have an exact time for Europe, but we hope the times will be as close together as possible.
This patch will fix the recent crashing that was caused by the upgrade to the 3.3 firmware update. It will also fix the in-game DLC store to show free DLC content redeemed with promo codes and it will also fix the bug with darkspawn trophies.
So again this patch will fix:
- Crashing caused by the 3.3 firmware update
- Missing free DLC content in the in-game store
- Darkspawn trophies
Now shh...

So i have played about 5 hours no crashes, well i was crashing for a little while. I dont know if its just luck, but i can tell you after my last crash, i powered down my system, flipped the switch in the back to off, pulled out the power/video cable in the back, put them back in and booted up again. Not a freeze since, I dunno if this did anything but so far, i believe it did. All this crashing and it was a simple as that for me? We'll see.
gonna give it a shot right now ill let you know how it turns out for myself crossing fingers it works.

"There is no problem, it is the likely fact that the data people are using who are still having freezes have been corrupted via the use of it during this stage. By no choice, you would have to delete the data"
Now, i don't want this to happen cos that might mean that i may need to delete my trophies. So please Bioware or Sony, sort it out soon.
And just to add to this reply, the patch which i downloaded did only give me Darkspawn chronicles and only took me 5mins to download which looked suspicious for a patch supposedly for a repair.

Oh I give up... Everyone on ere is saying theres work fine and this is just another thing Sony's guna cover up. Back to the shops DA... Such a sad thing to say yet this showed the real side of gaming, too many glitches and problems. Oh may i suggest this Bioware, in DA2 don't do the junk inventory thing as you can do a glitch for money that way when selling.
You know the problem with patches like this one is that BioWare fixed what they think was the problem(which obviously was the case for most of us). this does however not mean that every problem causing freezes is gone. This might very well be the best that BioWare can do without Sony telling them what exactly they changed.

Those who are still experiencing freezes, have you heard anything from Bioware?
Nope, i have emailed them a few times about the problem, all they tell me is "it may be corrupt save data, delete the data and start fresh." Sorry bioware i did that about 10 times and accidentally erased all my save games for all games in the process so no thanks that didnt help. Then, "clean your disc and make sure the ps3 isnt overheating." Well my disc has only been touched by human hands after i bought it once, to put it in the ps3. Its flawless on the back. So no thats useless as well, Dust free console perfect condition. Then i didnt hear from them again after i told them that nothing is wrong with my game/console.
