Like I said, it might be coincidence, but I've been running around the Circle Tower for the last 20 minutes or so, actually trying to get it to freeze, but with no luck. . . fortunately. Hope this helps.
BTW, I was playing disconnected from PSN on an 80-gig model.

Denerim on the otherhand is another story. Especially when trying to deal with merchants! Potent Lyrium for soveriegns is HELL. I've had even freeze up in Denerim with my party just standing in front of a merchant and chillin' for a min while my back is turned.

Should you not all be complaining in the Sony forums?
I'm sure there will be plenty of complaining there. Not sure who's going to release the patch for this issue, but at least we shouldn't keep Bioware out of the loop, right?

Like everyone else, I was having random freezing issues in DA:O. After changing some options, I've managed to play for 6 hours with no freezing. It could just be coincidence, but here's what I did: Under game options, turned off 'enable persistent gore'. I also turned off all 4 options under 'Interface'. Under 'Audio/Video' I reduced the sound effects and music volume to around 3/4.

I also have an 80Gb model (the one with 2 USB ports, there seem to be different 80Gb's around) running 3.30 and had 2 hangs so far in Redcliffe.. I'll try the option you mentioned later today [my 3 year old daughter is up and about, wouldn't want to traumatize her

@JaapEngel79 - Bioware are aware of it, and why should they release a patch to fix Sony's firmware problem?
Why should Sony release a fix for their own firmware which seems to only mess up one BioWare game?

Well DA is the only game this affects. I would say it's both Sony's and Biowares problem.

It;s not even close to being the only game affected. That was my point earlier. Its great that BioWare is trying to fix its own game but I would prefer they were yelling at Sony with us on this one. They would be heard long before we would.

Hi guys, I'm running the PS3 at 1080p and the DAO is running at 720p.. I've had no problems since I upgraded to 3.30. I've a 60gig Premium Launch PS3.
I´m running the original 80gb fat model at 1080p, playing DA:O with all DLCs downloaded.
I too have had no crashes since upgrading to 3.30.
Have actually had only 2 crashes at all during 100+ hours DA:O gaming and both were pre-3.30. Once during end battle while pushing a lot of buttons simultaneously and once in Aeducan Thaig just after auto-save finished.

Try opening your eyes and reading some other forums.
Oh no hang on - SOny's firmware update problems ARE Bioware's fault aren't they? I bet you don't complain to Sony when DA doesn't work and there's not been a firmware upgrade. Or do you just complain to everyone, just to make sure no one gets left out?
ANyway what do I care I don't even have a PS3.
I'm just bored really... ;O)

I started a new game without creating an EA account with the dragon age servers just to start out. I created a human mage, so started out with the harrowing. I completed the fade section, walked around the tower, and got my first crash after walking through the door leading out of the room with Owain and the other tranquils. I didn't have any downloadable content installed, and all of my equipment is whatever the default stuff is. I haven't altered anything in any menu or options screen anywhere, except for inverting the X and Y axes for camera controls. Otherwise everything else is default.
I was looking forward to this game, so I'm kinda disappointed at this. Hope you guys can get this fixed asap.

Those who know about the crashing just shelve the game till it's fixed and play something else. Those who just experienced crashes welcome to the club. Pull up a chair, have a cookie and wait for a fix like the rest of us.

Does anyone else feel like were beta testing again? Anyhow here is my crash info for today Bioware.
Crash#1: Crashed when going through each character's stat menu w/ L1 or R1. @ the time 2 characters could level up. This happened in the deep roads.
Crash#2: Game froze/hung trying to enter Ordan Thaig but didn't deadlock the system as i was able to quit out with the PS Menu Button
Crash#3-4 Both times this has happened to me and i said screw it for the day. Deadlocked the system at the change party screen at camp when you get ready to leave the campsite. Seem to start it after i started Morrigan's personal quest.
I do. I figure though, Super street fighter 4 just came out and i love it so i'm using diversion until my next DAO fix.
