Maybe if we all contact Sony en mass at a specific time it might have an impact...
Brammers I say this in an excellent idea!
New Quest
The Impossible Task
Request Aid from Sony
While this may not force Sony to change their wicked ways, it would certainly be hilarious. May I suggest everyone call Sony at let's say... 6pm central time? In my opinion, we should call at the same time every day. If we continue this they'll either have to deal with a bogged down phone support every night or have to hire more script readers (Hey we can help the economy). Bioware seems to be handling everything in this matter (thank you so much for that), maybe we can nudge Sony to lend a hand? Yourself has agreed to offer you your dignity if you are successful.

I LIKE IT!!!
This is very very good. =D

other games work fine, like bad company 2.
I wait until the save icon gone, then i start playing again but it freezes, sometimes i can play for a few houres without a problem but sometimes it crashes sfter a few minutes, if I reboot the system and try to play again it usually freezes again.
I have about 70GB free space (on my ps3 slim 120GB), and 4 characters on DA:O.
Started playing DA after the 3,3 firmware so i don't realy know how was it before.
Audio is still playing after the crash.
It usually frezzes when i open the wheel to give a command in the battle.
Crashes hapend while I was playing a thief and a warrior.
Never crashed in the inventory or shop.
The crashes in my case started after I became the gray warden( in the origins episodes it didn't freeze).
Hope it will help.

Oddly, it did so later, after about 4 hours, and in a completely new spot, for me at least.
The inventory screen, when switching between junk and weapons.
No wonder they can't reproduce this it acts differently with every single install!

I dont know what Sony did in 3.30 but they really messed something up with DAO since before 3.30 we never had these problems on this type of level.
I really hope this doesnt end up being something that cant be fixed by just some patch.

I have only recently arrived in Lothering (game time is currently 15hrs 54mins) as I am new to the game, on my first play through and have been taking time to get to know it!
Both of my crashes occured in Lothering. The first time I was just wandering about near Dane's Refuge (but not inside it), Alistair and Morrigan had just started to 'banter' with each other and then the game crashed - picture still on screen, can't remember if audio was still playing. The second time my party had just engaged in battle with the refugees looking for the bounty on the way north out of Lothering. The battle had just started (about 3 seconds worth) and then the game crashed - picture still on screen, audio still playing.
I have a 250GB slim PS3 with over 110GB disk space free
I have downloaded DLC: Stone Prisoner, Blood Dragon Armour, The Lucky Stone and Amulet of the War Mage.

It's happened twice at the exact same location. This seems to be a bigger problem than something just a little patch can fix.
And as noted by a few people it often freezes when my party members start random conversation as I am traveling.

@Eternus: As i mentioned in my eariler post i had a hard time leaving the party camp even. It wouldnt let me get past the Change party formation screen at all.

Maybe we could blame Return to Ostogar. I mean we all saw what happened when it was first released on the 360 j/k. But seriously i'm concerned this might not be able to be fixed through a patch. Either its the coding which i doubt since they don't get crashes on the dev kit or its the graphics coding which needless to say i think we'd be ****ed!
... ... ...
In that case...scrap it... remove it from the shelves. And rebuild the whole game to the PS3 from the first code to the last for maximum stability.
Dragon Age Origins: Rebirth of Ostagar.
If EA would ever approve.

i have been playing with my internet disabled all day and ive froze a dozen times or so
I am sure a lot of other people have seen a big difference while playing with Internet disabled as I have read and also is your 'PS Upscaler' and 'PS Smoothing' disabled? I have those disabled and it seems to matter as well according to some people who have played with it enabled and disabled

Bioware tech support said about 20 minutes ago to uninstall the game completely, then reinstall and it will undo the Sony patch issues. I play the game on 2 separate PS3's and I have done this on one system but haven't had enough time to play to see if it's worked yet (will probably find out tomorrow).
I haven't tried this option personally. But I have read about a lot of other people doing it and it still froze up. But anything is worth a try at this point, right?
