You mean like the update before Return to Ostagar came out? That could be. I'm hoping every time I start the game it will tell me it has to do an update first...

thats exactly what i'm ASSUMING but if they cannot realease a patch then it might have to be a sony firmware update im hoping only a patch is needed:huh:

U know if this was happening to one of Sony's precious games, i.e. God of War III (which is a sick game), they'd be dropping everything to fix the problem. But since this is just an EA/Bioware game. They'll just ignore the problem. They gotta keep up their prestine image of being arrogent bastards!

Ok running 1080p on HDMI before 3.3 update downloaded DAO:Awakening , and after playing past the initial start up to entering first area past the open gate game froze. I can still hear music and sounds of battle but system will accept no input from controler. I can eject the disc and re-insert it, and system reboots allowing me to play either DAO and DAO:Awakening until next random crash . Both now crash randomly.

Your TV might be running 1080p but the games runs in 720p

agreed but also you'd have to include madden on that one even though its thru all platforms it is one of the greatest income of their games:ph34r:

Well its monday (Which is a bank holiday here in the UK) but in the US that means Bioware staff are back at work and back to fixing the problem. I hope. I wonder if they're getting any help from Sony at all or just getting stonewalled like we are. ****ing sony not even acknowledging that there is a problem.

Doubtful they'll leave work on Friday at 5pm saying "well, we know all our PS3 users are bricked and our multi-million dollar project is broken for hundreds of thousands of users, but let's go home and pick it up again on Monday".

I'm just assuming (but would love confirmation ) that a few people had a VERY busy weekend..

You'd almost go back to PC gaming. At least then you can usually find a way to fix the game yourself.

Well, I got to play for 10 minutes and then it froze again. So saving every two minutes or so didn't do me no good! Now I'm also becoming pretty impatient and mad!!

My husband had a doctors appointment so I didn't get a chance to see if things were behaving today. Looks like nothing is happening on the fix front, has anyone heard anything new at all?

Completely agree with you. a few months back Uncharted Drakes Fortune was crashing due to a dodgy update, if I remember correctly a new upadate was released about 3 days later to fix the problem. Basically Sony are selfish arrogant scumbags. I feel ashamed that well earned money of mine has gone straight to their pockets.

Again I agree, I love my PS3 but Sony should really consider caring about what thier customers want.

Just wanted to add that this freezing seems to be getting worse and worse. Saving every 2 minutes does seem to help, but not always, I will still get a random freeze for no reason, and there really is no pattern to it. It even froze on the pause menu.

I've been playing since yesterday pretty much non-stop (Well not non-stop but for about 8 hours today and 9 hours yesterday) and hadn't got any freezes, 1 hour ago however, I went into the Deep City and I've got 3 freezes so far, majorly lame, guess I didn't fix it after all.

it ridiculous at how poor a product they actually released and then had the cheek to charge what they did for the big steaming pile of bull**** that they droped into ma ps with its constant freezing bugs and framerate issues why can't they just fix it and please everyone
