So is anyone annoyed by this freezing thing? Cuz I am! every 2-3 hrs it freezes.
I guess I can give you some silver lining/perspective. It could happen every 10 minutes like it does on mine. Making it UNPLAYABLE rather than an annoyance.

So is anyone annoyed by this freezing thing? Cuz I am! every 2-3 hrs it freezes. but not just on DAO, Deamons Souls froze on me and so did White Knight Chronicls. Im getting pissed, i just bought Dead Space and if it freezes I am going to FREAK OUT! Ive been out of gaming for YEARS and this is what I come back to? Seriously lame. Im thinking I should have never come back to this world!
Nope. You're the only one who is annoyed. Everyone else in this thread is delighted by the freezing. Makes it feel like winter!

I'v tried reinstalling game data nothing happens but since i disabled internet access and save often i been able to play it with minimal issues(some lag and 1 freeze in 3 days so far). I am playing on a 60 gig phat so this may help some of you. This seems like a memory issue that needs addressed as someone stated earlier in this thread
trying the internet disable....will let ya know if it works

Ok so NOW that I found this post... I want some money back! I tried DAO on another PS3 after mine started crashing and (since it's the only game that freezes and on multiple machines) thought I must have scratched or (overheated?) the disk somehow... even though I pretty much NEVER take it out of the PS3. So, I bought a NEW DAO disc (same freeze problem) and games are not returnable. I want EA to refund one of the two. This is ridiculous. Mine freezes very often. I also want the 9 hours back that I spent restoring and reloading my system, thinking initially that it was my console.
Now I feel like an X-Box owner...
LOL i know....i was an Xbox 360 owner for years and just bought the PS3 recently to play CoD:MW2 with my son.....both systems have issues.......

Tried this, and got an hour before it froze, as opposed to the normal 20 min lol........so frustrating

You do realize we're lucky to hear anything from Bioware right? They could very easily say "screw you all" and not have any contact with us what so ever until there's a fix, and even then they're not obligated to alert us, and there is no way to troubleshoot the problem they already tried that and all the half-assed temporary fixes have already been posted all over this thread (like literally everywhere click on any random page and I guarantee you'll find atleast one)
This is Sony's screw up Bioware doesn't really have to do anything (although it would be stupid of them not to) but they certainly don't have to post on the forum to reassure us they're working on it, you should just quit your damn complaining put the game down wait for the fix to come out and be happy we've recieved any information at all

I doubt it has anything to do with the character you create. I have a mage and a human female rogue, and they freeze. And it has gotten worse lately!! I don't even get 5 minutes of gameplay anymore, before I was at least able to play half an hour or so. As much as I hate to do it, DA came out of my ps3 for now. It is just too frustrating!Jonas1974 wrote...
don;t know if it helps, but the game only crashes when i play my Mage......i got tired of reloading all the time so i started a warrior, and have played straight through until level 10 with not even a single freeze...
