It's impossible to downgrade PS3 firmware - FW update rewrites PS3's flash bios, which can't be formatted.

DemonLord4lf, with all due respect - I've read every page of this thread and I can't say I've seen any direct confirmation of a future fix. It reminds me of situation with SEGA and Bayonetta. I've followed it very closely and at first it was same situation as here, but then PG became silent, just like Bioware recently...
A fix that comes somewhere in August for example isn't going to help much...

Well, they said yesterday they're still working on it. I really hope they fix this issue. Even though this is more of sony's problem then bioware.

If you look on Sony forums you gonna see people that had problem with this new firmware and tryed to contact Sony with no much sucess at all. Looks like they not even accepting the fact about problems with this 3.30 firmware so i dont think they trying to fix this alone. But people from Bioware office alredy says Sony are working with then to solve this. We hope we all probably can get a fix in the future by patch of Bioware (if can be donne) or when Sony realease a new firmware...wait and see.

Lets try and be positive about this. Bioware seem like they genuinly care about what we have 2 say. If they didn't they wouldn't have created dis site or answered us on this thread. From what i heard bioware has good rep 4 listenin 2 their community. Chances are they will get this sorted, it may not be soon but i have confidence in them. We arent helping by postin depressing comment. "Oh no ones gonna fix it!" and "It will take forever" blah blah blah....

I say: GO BIOWARE YOU CAN FIX IT NO PROBS!!!! YEAH!!!! GO TEAM, HURRAH!!!

It doesnt hurt to be optimistic right?

If the patch take that much time maybe by that time we alredy got a fix by new firmware since sony really like to realese then...

Darkspawn Chronicles is the name of the new DLC to bad most of us cant play it. Well i can cause of my 6hours a crash thing.



Hopefully this is a sign that they are going to patch the ps3 game before they release this DLC.

Remember? Shortly before the release of RTO they released a software update for DAO. Maybe it's going to be the same way this time, which means we should have a fix by next week!

I read its coming out shortly after xbox so we can expect a patch in a week or so ill wait i can still play for six hours before crashing. Sorry everyone who cant play at all

But this DLC is a good sign we will get a fix soon.

No kidding. We haven't even received the 1.02 or 1.03 updates. We won't get that DLC until next year (if at all).

Microsoft have revealed via their latest release schedule that new DLC for Dragon Age Origins, named Darkspawn Chronicles, will be released via Xbox LIVE Arcade this month.
There is a lack of information on the Darkspawn Chronicles; however here is what the description has to say,

Dragon Age: Origins, the dark fantasy epic that has you playing as a Grey Warden, one of the last of a legendary order of guardians.
With the return of mankind’s ancient foe and the kingdom engulfed in civil war, you have been chosen by fate to unite the shattered lands and slay the archdemon once and for all.

We should find out more information on this soon, but expect it to be released on PS3 around the same time.

I heard that they said its "possible" to put it on every system but the wii but dont hold your breath.

We'd have to have to have a bundle so we aren't confused the whole game With ME1&ME2.

Maybe they are holding this until close to the new DLC release so they can fix more then this bug, like the dex bug, slow downs and other stuff. A godlike patch lol...dont hurt to dream.

Oh that would be wonderful Bioware should totally do it But now that i heard about this new DLC i'd expect a patch soon cause it maybe coming "shortly" after xbox cause they gotta patch the ps3 DAO so this has put me in a good mood.

I'm pissed, very pissed. I have Thursday and Friday off, no work and wife out out of town. If the patch is no ready by then, I pledge not buy any more DAO products ever.

As I said they will fix bugs that prevent us from playing, but this one isn't Bioware's fault. So they won't do anything, because Sony will eventually fix it...



As for gameplay...dexterity and everything that's in the .02 & .03 patches...if they were going to fix those on ps3 they would have been already fixed.

I advise everyone to keep they estimated characters and saves. Unless of course you are trying to help Bioware on solving this and dont mind to lost all your data (remember or saves are locked...lol). Like alot people alredy said before in this forum, the problem its probably coding, and i dont think deleting your saves now gonna solve this...Its probably something messed up with the game and/or firmware codes so wait until they fix it. If you delete all just for play some hours where you cant even turn your character fast because its gonna freeze it then thats not a great fix for the problem. You probably can encounter the same old problems when you get far in the game where you got more complex batles with more enemys, spells, etc. I dont think worth lose your cool character to some kind half fix. And keep it mind that if was a simple way to fix this they probably had alredy deliver to us the way to do it.

Agreed, I did delete everything but as I pointed out it didn't solve the problem.  I'm not all that stressed about it at this point, just an excuse to rebuild all my characters but still....
