How can you say with 100% that Bioware dont have a percentage of fault on this problem? Even if the new firmware got a load of problems and other games started to show issues too, the only game that seems to be 100% broken freeze after updating its DA:O. Thats bring up me thinking if one of the previous bugs of the game could be suddenly working with this messed up firmware to bring hell on us (1+1= bug+). And i dont think we even gonna know for sure who's to blame 100% for this one. We all know that the firmware got issues and that its probably the last drop or gallon of water on this problem. But who knows what really happened here? We never gonna know because i doubt either Sony or Bioware gonna come open and say its the other one fault for have droped the ball. Thats just not good for market relationship.

As for gameplay...dexterity and everything that's in the .02 & .03 patches...if they were going to fix those on ps3 they would have been already fixed.

Well, to be honest the fact that 2 patches are not available for PS3 version is absolutely unacceptable. Sadly, I paid for my copy of PS3 DAO before I learned that....
To be honest I won't actually buy any future Bioware games, but I still anxiously waiting for DAO fix - I already have the game....

I am so very freaking tired of this. Why'd I even bother buying the game and all the F*$&ing bells and whistles if it's not gonna work. I know It's basically Sony's fault for coming out with a constant batch of horribly created software updates, but After 3 damn weeks you'd think they'd have something for us by now. I do have to say that because of this I dont plan on being much of a EA or a PS3 fan from this point. dishing out good money for games that wont even work. hey BIOware... GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND MAYBE SAVE SOME CUSTOMERS

Do you hear yourself? Do you realize that you sound like a spoiled brat? Just because Bioware is not working at light speed does not mean they're just lazing around and doing nothing. They are at least doing something. They could have just as easily gone the route of Sony: "lol! There is no problem!" and then where would you be?

So I'm guessing the issue has not been resolved yet. I haven't had my PS3 hooked up to the internet in awhile, as I still have FW 3.21. I just received DA:O in the mail today after renting it from Gamefly. I should not have any problems playing right?

Suggestion to Bioware: you may release the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC for free to the PS3 users, as an "apology" for all these annoyances.

Tai chi wont calm them down. lol but it would be fun to watch.

Bioware is working on it. They are trying to be part of the solution and not the problem. Raging on something you personally cannot do anything legal about is a waste of your time. (accept of course you need to waste some hours).

Bioware will fix this. They just simply cannot afford not to

I cant understand why people are so burnt with Bioware if the problem is Sony here, they are the ones to blame for releasing those crap of updates. I was furious because i only played it for a week, but man! im now playing other games until the fix arrives, i would be really worried if they wouldnt fix it in a month or two.

Like i said before get a 360 only is gonna make you change six to a half dozen. This new console generation got all sort of problems. Like you alredy know 360's owners go problems too, so you are probably changing software problem to hardware problem. but you got a option if you dont want problems and dont mind play kid games: get a wii. That will solve it.

As a former 360 owner I would advise against that. Maybe the reason I'm ok with the DAO situation is because I realize it's better to have a system with 1 game that doesn't work then all the games in the world with no system to play on. Took me 4 times sending my 360 back for repair before I got my PS3. Seems to me my current situation is much better than my former. Wouldn't you agree?

Does the freezing harm the ps3 in any way. Or all I risk is losing my unsaved data?

Bioware could post to us a daily update about this thread .....

So we could expect a solution soon or not.

WOWOWOWOWOW NEW DLC????? WHO CARES? DOES THAT SOLVE THE PROBLEM? NO!!! WELL BE QUIET THEN BECAUSE NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR OPINION UNLESS IT SAYS "THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED" IDIOTS..

And you think thats saying that kind of bs gonna solve any @#$% either? You can type all the @#$% on caps you want and thats not gonna deliver us the solution either. If you are that much angry and dont want to read anything here just keep youself out of here. I dont see anyone arguing with you to stay logged on it either. And what exactly you want for people do more then they alredy did it here? Maybe you want then to debug this for Bioware too. People are giving hints of what they are trying or giving tips to each others to what do or not do for the sake of their games and system. Keep in mind that a forum like this is for suport either from the company to the people as people to the people. And if even a random message helps anyone here to be more calm and gives then hope that this gonna be fix it so be it. You dont own this forum like anyone own either. But i dont see the other users crying about other people messages here besides you.

wow somebody is being hypocritical (yeah i gathered that somebody like you would have to "google" the meaning of that word) because i'm 90% sure that tears were rolling down your face whilst typing that comment

So cry more... and the only one spamming bs while the caps its active trying to make any foolish impression is you. Yeah... looks like someone was crying and wasn't me hehehe...

well as much as i want to blame bio ware ive had several other games that have crashed as well seems u can only play madden without it crashing. i hope sony fixes soon because i want to send allistair to the gallows with my city elf.

your asking a company that says their firmware is flawless and if our systems are experienceing crashes to send them in for service. Their exact words pretty much in a email i got from them.

i dont even remember implying that so way to take my words out of context. all im saying that i have had other games that i play that freeze up on me as well.  this is what happened to me since the patch so its led me as in in myself that its sony update not so much a fult on bioware. maybe i should b++++ to 2k sports because my nba2k10 freezes up.  i just dont have that much time on my hands.  so once again this is what happened to me and personally i dont care what anyone does with their systems.

I am So tired of having to wait though! its almost like they're not treating this as a popular game. Personally, I don't remember the last time a seriously needed gaming fix took this long! Ive been reduced to playing BF 1943 and to make matters worse... I JUST finished off the last general before the, what I hope is epic, finale climax. I downloaded the update and boom! cant finish the last few minutes of the game.fml

I'm kicking myself for downloading the firmware update without waiting a bit to see how it played out. I just picked DA:O back up last week to play, but couldn't get more than a few steps on a newly created mage after the Harrowing quest line before freezing.

Main reason I'm posting, though (and how I hate to come off topic with everyone else, but...), is to put my support behind Bioware. They've got a great track record, in my opinion, on fixing their games. I mean, just look at NWN (and conveniently forget KOTOR, shall we?). There were updates on that 6 years after release (I imagine well after it was bringing in any sizable revenue), always adding new content, and if something was broken, they were quick to fix it.

All I'm saying is to not give up on them so easily. I can't say how much has changed over there, but I'm positive that they'll get something whipped up soon enough.

Geez people. Go to Blockbuster and rent a game FFS. Or even better go to Gamefly and get a couple. I can't see why people are so obsessed with being impatient.

Play another game (or two or three) and wait for a fix. Constant b*tching isn't gonna make a patch miraculously appear any quicker.
