I think 3d Dot Heroes is cute and I can appreciate what it is doing, but it would not be able to occupy the space for me that Dragon Age holds. Not something I am interested in.

lol for 1 game traded in ps3 for xbox, you could have just waited a week and played da for a year or so, but now u have to mail the failbox to microsoft like every 3 months lol

Oblivion is one of the best rpgs of the decade, i played it for like 200 hours and i loved it (including both KOTN and SI), the last thing i did was to reach the top of the tower in the imperial city with the paintbrush glitch, it was fun to summon zombies in the air to fall like 2kms with them XD

You don't have to be sorry, reece, it would be bad if everybody would just like the same games I guess I just like how you handle the inventory etc in DA, maybe I'm just too used to it, not sure. I'm also not doing that well on the ego-perspective thingy. I know you can change it in Oblivion, but then it's sorta hard to aim at stuff. I'm just a spoiled Dragon Age brat, and went back to WWE  Smackdown 2010. And since I have a new console there's quiete a bit for me to do there now too!

I so agree with you on that. I don't find cute cartoony games interesting at all. They make me feel foolish.

I haven't actually played DA since all these problems started since I was out of town, and so haven't experienced anything for myself yet, but I have to say I'm impressed that you guys are working so hard to try and solve a problem that wasn't of your doing (Sony seems to have a really bad history with their software updates).



So excellent work. But now I'm wondering if I should keep playing or maybe wait for the patch . . .

i'm pretty much in the same boat. i haven't played it since the update. although i'm holding off until a patch comes out. i don't wanna potentially damage any saves. in the mean time, i've been playing super street fighter iv and even went back and started playing through beyond good & evil on my xbox again! jade! woo hoo!

Been playing through darksiders on the PS3 and Nostalgia on the DS. Darksiders, i admit is basically a clone of Zelda, but in my opinion a well executed one. Nostalgia is a great throwback to the traditional jrpg.



And then there is always Sam & Max Season 2 on the PC. Can't go wrong with Sam & Max



Still... i want to finish my first playthrough on dragon age most of all. Would gladly put all those games on hold for it.

meh,since when i started a new char (human noble warrior) after clearing the game da didn't freeze even once.I'm starting to think it has somethig to do with something we have in inventory,like items from a quest that should have disappeared after completing.I've cleared the start ad i've wandered a bit in the elven forest,went to denerim to chill out,recluted shale, "spent" the night at redcliff and everything is going smoothly :| pretty strange,probably is not a graphical issue then.

p.s: Seems the 3.30 update not only ruined dragon age,but also bricked a restrict group of ps3-.-

It makes me giggle that neither Bioware nor sony have any mention of this "problem" on their sites... you just gotta feel for the poor sap who at this very moment is buying doa and all its add ons.. I mean imagine, fridge is fully stocked, missus away for the weekend, phone turned off.. then FREEEEEEEEZE!

exactly what happened to me.i bought this a couple of week ago and i could never think that a game could have such massive freezing problem.Well,i'll search the forums now before doing updates and buying things,that for sure

Hah same for me, I decided to to finish the game , i stopped after recuiting the various groups, then mw2 came out. Then the freezes and i didnt check the site, thought it was a bad disc. bought a new da 1 against my best friends warnings. then it still forze , I lso bought the expansion at that time cause i was looking forward to having some gaming hours since my wife is outta town this week. that froze too, but i kept trying to play through the freezes, thats when i got the permanent ylod, so i went from looking forward to wrapping up da this week to trying to figure out how im going to tewll my wife the $90 i spent at bestbuy and the 450 i spent at target =(.......as mr awsome in chuck would say...this is so not awsome.

leiliana (whas this her name?) is bsx,you know that right?XD same for crow,so you get a male hitting you anyway.

i was starting to think that maybe one sex is more susceptible to freeze than the other,but probably it's not true.

hah didnt know didnt try. i usually only pursue conversations long enough for the quest. just find it better to avoid them. like when in gta on the ps3 i had to take the cousin to the strip club and i got the lapdance just to see what would happen when my wife walked downstairs and saw a near naked anime girl on our 47"....just easier to avoid those situations =-)

always try to max out their affection so you get a higher bonus in their principal stats(till+6).

Ive played both and ive gotta say (if it wernt for these crashes), the ps3 version of dragon age far outshines the 360 version in nearly every area. I also believe that if we DO eventualy get mass effect 1&2(cant see them being released individualy on ps3) they will also run a million times better than 360!

For me the fact that dragon age was released on ps3 was the main reason i got a ps3, im a BIG bioware fan and was gonna build a cheap gaming rig before DAO+ps3 exclusives swayed me.
Had it all priced up at £350 and that would have run any game out there atm!!! so yeah im a bit gutted,
but this will be sorted eventualy.

this sort of thing happens tho, i seem to remember battlefield 1943 not working at all for the first 4 days on 360 and thats a service you pay for.

But......each to their own, at least you get halo reach aswel (my freind mannaged to play the beta for 1 day before his console RROD'd on him yesterday, 3rd 1 hes had aswel lol).

 Such a shame. This is a fantastic game and Sony's stupid update ruins it. I don't know why Sony don't have a rollback option that allows you to rollback the firmware to the previous version. This shouldn't be hard for Sony to implement - heck I've written code to do this for several network appliances. It's doable but it does take some foresight and thought before implementation.

dunno,i proposed a rollback utility in case of firmware bug or installation fail some time ago on the italian forum,i ddon't think they will listen to me.
