We are in for a long wait.

EA will push it ahead in the queue, probably. I'm certain EA will finish the testing this week, which would mean the patch is at Sony(if the patch works) the week after. Sony will most likely not put it ahead of anything and it could potentially lie there for weeks.

The best possible scenario is probably two weeks from now.
Worst case over a month.

By then i'll be playing red dead redemption...

Coming up on 3 weeks.

Starting to not care if they are "working on it" or not, they are a multi-billion $ company that should have this fixed in 3 days tops. Why should the patch have to go through EA and Sony?

If they had released the patch within a week...they would have been working (perhaps hard), releasing within days would have been working hard. Releasing it within two weeks would have been lazy....three weeks...you guess.

This is so fubar because they KNOW what changes have been made in the firmware. Perhaps it's time to trade in DAO and hope the resellers don't know about these problems...

Ps. I would also be very interested in knowing how they will try to refund this. If not...then this whole situation is even more sad.

Sony needs to give its approval to the patch?

I mean if it is possible to install the patch only for DAO, without pass for Sony's hands or via firmware update.

I do not have DAO yet I was going to get it but I going to wait now till they fix this problem  for all Games

The problems I been having so far is dealing with God of War Collection  mostly

I was playing it and it started frezzing but for for a few secs

so I went and undone the inertnet from it  (Disable it  via Nextwork Settings)

went back into the game and it still was doing it

So I went to watch some of the bouse stuff and it went for about  5 sec and frozed then about another 15 sec and it asked me if I wanted to shut the system off

I shut it off and then retun it back on and am Now Formating the Hard Drive to see if this helps

(Lucky for me I still have a 1 year warnnety with Gamestop) I just got the sytem 3 days ago   its my eairly XMas gift   we are not sure we have the money at the end of the year  this year for it so we went a head and got the system now

We got a referbished 60 GB from Gamestop because I want to also play my PS2 Games on it

I going to after the formating is try the game again  if it does not fix the problem we are taking the system back and the next one I get is not geting updated till they get this fixed for all areas  then I might go out and get DAO

for someone so sure about knowing what they should have done already and what they should have known from 3.30, how about you help us all out and make the needed patch for the game?  i mean since you seem to act like you could do a better job....  we all are waiting.

its sunday, im hungover to F***! And whereas dragon age would normaly help distract me from alchahol induced vileness, im sat here bored s***less and feeling like stir fried poo! =(.

PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!(Not that sony give a flying f***!)

anyone remember the very 1st generation of hdtv's? sure ya do!
WELL! it turns out that sony had a law suit(and lost) aginst them for using components in it that where desighned to break after 100,000 hours.

Then there was the whole ps2 fat thing where nearly every owner of a 1st gen had to buy a new 1 becouse(again, after a certain ammount of time) they either didnt read cd's and read dvds or vice versa!

. . . . . . and now this!
(i know im prbably just ranting coz im bored and hungover and p***ed off, but all are valid points)
its beyond a joke now, making sure the console works correctly shud be ahead of anything on their list of prioritys, otherwise its pointless having the bloody thing!

Realy was chuffed to have my ps3, great console, great exclusives, better build quality than its closest rival (i aint sayin it! 3*0! there ya go lol) and a lot more functionality! But all this is useless if it dosnt work properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive changed the console and the game(which was new anyway), e-mailed sony to which i got a "la, la, la, we're not listening! theres no problem at all!" reply. and bad company 2 has crashed a few times online now aswel, pray to GOD its not 3.3 coz i cant lose this game too! Its the dogs left dangley!!!!

Effects:    Massive number of users, all using seperate PS3 stations, same games,
Identified Cause:   Conflct with upgrade of latest Sony Firmware.

Mind blowing that we aren't being offered an estimated release date. (at not that I have seen at the time of this posting)

One of my roomate has an XBox360 and is gloating over how well his gaming is going... Dick

Anyway Bioware - Please provide us with something tangable.

"Just wondering since the fans roam here, which expansions from Dragon Age are really worth getting? I was considering just getting Awakenings since I love Origins so much. Really seems like a lot of extra content seeing how much extra armor and weapons I've seen from the Wiki site. This expansion of Darkspawn Chronicles, that a big one too? I haven't really read up on that." -

All the Add Ons were worth it to me.
In particualr, Return To O,  always picked up some awesome weapons and and King C's armour.

I played Awakening through twice. I found it personally lacking due to the come down off all the hours invested in Origins. But, this was just me having trouble with the transition.

I have had the same problems as the rest of you since the 3.30 update.

For some days now I have played without both autosave AND internet connection. The result for me have been zero freezes. I have still not been able to play a marathon session due to lack of free time but it looks promising and could be a solution until a new update is released.

I really hope that those guys at sony and Bioware find a way to fix this. I can sometimes play for a few hours or more at a time without a crash. The worst part of it is that having crashed a number of times now, I can see it coming, and that there is nothing that I can do to stop it.

It has been rare for the game to run at a normal frame-rate, it is usually kinda choppy. However, when the frame-rate really starts to drop I know that the game might lockup, but doesn't always do it right away. Very frustrating.

Had my first crash today. Luckily I hadn't done much, and saved just before.

But I think I'll wait for the patch before playing again.

just do what i been doing for the most part.  if your doing a quest (new map/zone area) if you can save when you first enter.  then if you know its only 1 or 2 battles of mobs just go at it.  once you kill them before picking up the drops and stuff do another save.  after you got your items off the ground and before you leave back to the map do a final save.  then just go to your next area.

If your doing a big area like the Forest, Tower, Orzamar, just do some stuff and then save, do some more and then save..... you get the idea.

Like i said in on the page before this one (i think) i had just played for 12 hours straight from Saturday night till Sunday morning sometime, and i only had like 4 freezes.

Guys i also found that if you change anyone in your party, before you move to the next area, if you know what buffs you want that person/team to have buff them up before moving on.  If your in party camp return to the area you was at to be able to do this before moving on.  I did notice from before that a lot of times if you wait for your party members to buff when they engage battle you have a higher chance of freezing, as theres more stuff going on on the screen at the same time.

I could easily try and play DA and hope to not get a crash for like 3-4 hours like many of you are doing but I can't enjoy the game properly when I know a crash is coming sooner or later, It's like I'm waiting for a crash more than concentrating on what I'm doing in the game and It's a pain in the a** so I'm just going to pateintly wait.

it just amazes me how quick you guys are to just ditch the game on the ps3 like Bioware all of a sudden did something.  I mean before 3.30 you guys loved playing it on ps3.  now all of a sudden its like its a sin or something.  everyone keeps saying Bioware needs to do something, but yet a lot of you fail to realize that Sony has yet to even step up and say "yes firmware 3.30 caused an issue with such and such games/movies".  DAO isnt the only game having issues since 3.30, but it seems to be the one getting the most attention as having issues.

Why is that?  Maybe that should just go to show you how big the DAO fan base is that all these ps3 players are stepping up to complain about not being able to play it correctly on their ps3 without worring about it freezing.  If anything i would like to think that this unfortunate inccident has shown Bioware/EA that the DAO has a big fan base on the PS3 and that EA/Bioware should put more backing into it to please the fans who have voiced out about a game they love, on the system they love. PS3

Thank you Orious and Agoodwin. Soon as this patch comes through I think I'll grab the expansion and the add on content. Till then don't know what to do since I've heard people have been crashing on FFXIII too. Red Dead Redemption is coming soon thankfully. I guess I'll bust out the old GTA for the time being.
