You're probably the most hate filled person on this thread. You really can't back up your innocence there.

I certainly don't deny it nor have I claimed to be innocent. Truth is truth though. For all the barking I've seen about people threatening to do this and that I seriously doubt any of them will do anything about it. The extent of their action will be to troll boards looking to be the most vocal about their displeasure about how they're treated.

That is the very definition of whining and it's not forthcoming for people who claim to be upstanding gamers.

O.K.  Umm... I'd like to see bioware get away without makeing a patch... without someone successfully sueing them.

There working on the patch so that wont happen. But im saying you'd never win and if you did you wouldn't get much it'd be really pointless. But i dont think dragon age is as bad as you say it is i enjoyed it for months till 3.30.
But i do wish they'd hurry with the patch for the bugs i want my vigilence 2hander not a starfang!Posted Image

Kinda gross. And surprising how many people still think farmer joe is milking his cows in a serene grassy meadow . lol

I dont know if your sarcasm here its innocent as you think people can be or just rude as most people can be. I dont think anyone still belives that companys milks each cow on hand like in a storybook...but even so i guess drink milk with pus its diferent from drinking pus alone...for looks and taste at least...if wasnt diferent we would see people selling pus in gallons by now...and probably alot people buying it...

Mabye it is due to the update but still this game was crippled from the day of release.

I started playing Dragon Age on my ps3 in November, and played it through approx. 20 times! I downloaded Awakening the day it was released in Germany which was 18 March. I have been playing both games with NO problem, and neither one has been crippled!! The problems started with the release of the Sony firmware update 3.30! And yes, just on that particular game! But since it has something to do with the firmware update you cannot just blame Bioware for it! They are going to release that new add-on, and I'm positive they wanna make sure too that patch is ready before they release it for ps3.

I've had problems with framerates, bugs and freezing(although rare) before the update others have too. The firmware just pushed it over the edge. Without playing the blame game it is biowares liability. Sony can do nothing and get away with it bioware can't. I just want the problem fixed and believe a class action is more than feesable if it isn't. Reading all these posts it seems like bioware has been ripping people off since the DLC problems. This kinda stuff is shody business. You can't just sell a faulty product and get away with it. The damn game is still on the shelves at best buy. It should have been recalled as soon as bioware became aware of this.

If people sue Mcdonalds for being fat I think the costumers for this game are more than deserving of what they payed for.

People need to crawl out of Biowares a** and accept the fact that this is not acceptable.

Kinda agreed, it's pretty annoying to go out there, buy a product, have it mess up on you and then have people jump on you for complaining about that.

Yes, Jesus, man, some people on these forums are RETARDED. When you buy a broken product, what you do? If you buy milk with blood and pus in it you don't care if ill cows on the farm are being treated right now. When you buy a broken TV you don't care that malfunctioning equipment on TV factory is being replaced. And when I buy broken game I don't ****ing care if some ass developer is developing something or posting on some forum. I care about the fact, that unlike milk and TV you can't return game for a refund (and in case of milk an additional compensation) because store don't guarantee that game works. Store guarantee that it's original game disk, fully undamaged in unopened original factory package. So you can return this for a refund to only manufacturer... Bioware? Now, due to different laws in different countries it's a huge pain in the ass. I won't simply buy any future Bioware games (never were their fan anyway).
Now if some people here like drinking pus, they're welcome. I don't.

So, all we can do is
1. Never buy their games in the future.
2. Give them as much bad PR as possible across the web.

And of course it's always a pleasure to post something nasty on their forum.

Good thing I have dynamic IP.

Wow talk about an incoherrent hate filed pointless diatribe.

Bloody milk NOT EQUAL video game bug.  Stop posting, anywhere on the internet, for your own sake kid.

Im just impressed that after weeks people still cant find a different game to pass the time.

I've been playing Two Worlds.  Bad framerate, really bad.  But quite a fun game actually.

It's like Diablo meets Oblivion on meth

Any of you guys know if i can buy Awakenings and play it with Origins with no problems on the firmware 3.21? Anyone here knows if freezes like origins in the 3.30? I would apreciate a feedback on this since can be affected as origins was in the 3.30. Thanks.

Seriously, I didn't pay this much for a PS3 and a near 50 dollar game for it to freeze every 30 minutes to an hour. :/ And I bought the game like two days ago.

Just to let you all know that the patch has gone through EA Cert and has now made it to Sony's hands! I don't have an official release date estimate yet, but with a little bit of luck we may still see it late this week. I'll update you when we know more.

The upcoming patch addresses:

- The high rate of crashing on firmware 3.3.

- The issue where redeeming codes was no longer showing the free download items.

- Adds the trophies for the upcoming Darkspawn Chronicles DLC

Once again, my sincere thanks to all of you that posted on here and helped us track this down.

I think people are griping more about the way people are complaining just for the sake of hearing themselves talk. There's 80+ pages of people saying they're pissed or b*tching about this and that. After about the 3rd page it got old real quick. At this point there's not much sense in complaining. If someone is upset with Bioware then contact them directly and chew them out. Barking on the boards just annoys the hell out of other people.

Just one person's opinion though.

Ill third that.

me too! DITTO!

I'm confused?
And woo, patch coming soon, lol.

All I'm saying is if someone wants to do something about they way they've been treated by a company, then do something about it. Groaning on the boards is just an weak attempt at trying to be proactive.

I agree! But it is usually those ppl who won't do anything. I can't stand ppl that come on this board just to start a console war, insult other ppl, complain all the time and don't add anything reasonable or helpful. I also realize it's been a long time that this is happening, but I guess we have no choice but being patient and wait for the patch! It would be nice if Bioware would post a status or something, and maybe they will this week!

yes its a valid point.
but its only valid if that person has come straight on here to moan before doing anything about it,
i came on here to find out how to go about complaining properly and only started REALY ****in after i emailed then phoned sony, explained it was none of the issues theyve been sugesting and why, and what a suprise i got the usual "no, theres no problem at all" response from sony like 4 times.

i never shout at anyone down the phone becouse its pointless but after ringing and speaking to a complete moron who wouldnt know their arse from their elbow, i completely lost it.

hence why i came on here to vent afterwards, exhausted all options.lol.

and leave bioware alone!lol. yes the game has messed up but at least they stepped in to sort sonys mistake out! the sheer amount of coding in this game means they must have worked bloody hard to find a work around so quick(seen as though the crashing is random throughout giving them no clue as to what the issue with the new firmware is), its sonys firmware that messed everything up, their denying it till blue in the face aswel! so if theres blame to be placed here, from what ive gathered im 99.9% sure its with sony.

but everyones entitled to their opinion i supose.

p.s. Dont forget to keep E-mailing sony about your issues if your a new user!!!!!!

p.p.s. for all those who blamed bioware, EAT THEM WORDS, EAT EM AAALLLLL!
"Nom, nom, nom!"lolPosted Image

Fernando could you explain what was the issue found with the 3.30 firmware update causing the game to freeze and also how will the patch affect people who have not installed DA Awakenings yet.

I just spoke to a manager at Sony "James" about the issues and why customers who call in to Sony are being told they don't know of any issues.
I think I made some honestly good points with him about the forced update and about not being able to revert back to the previous firmware on ones system.

What I'm curious about is all the other issues people are having with BlueRay movies freezing now etc etc which is not a Bioware issue I know.

Thanks for the information Fernando.

This is great news. Hopefully Sony will make this a priority since it was them that messed it up in the first place...
