I really liked Demon's Souls. Can't say whether DAO is the better game since I haven't been able to play it yet. I bought it, played it for half an hour and the it froze on me. Since then I've been waiting to give it a whirl =)

Just wondering something. Will the patch be released simultaneously in the US and EU? There often seems to be a delay with such things when it comes to DLC. It would really blow if we(EU people) end up waiting even longer to get back to DA.

What if you're still on 3.10 and can't connect to PSN, but your PS3 still has the Internet Connection enabled?
I'm pretty sure I'm had game patches download/install automatically when I wasn't connected signed into my PSN Account in the past, but I can't really be sure...

Ever since October 2009, I always check the forums on GameFAQs before I update, so I heard about the issue with DA:O and never updated.

Mine freezes at the most random times too. It doesn't freeze when one might expect it, like when being mobbed or during a cutscene. It just...stops. Just a few minutes ago, I was only leveling up when it froze. LEVELING UP.

Please dear god let the patch come out at the same time in the UK as everywhere else. Dont screw us over like always Sony. Apart from Australia we tend to be the last to get anything.
I wouldnt be surprised if we do get screwed over again and the patch doesnt come out for another month or two after the US release.

What you mean you cant Connect to PSN??? 100% of the time When your loged into your PSN account and you stick a game in you will get a patch update for that game if required ie such as Resident Evi 5 had a patch come out to allow other expansions  Heavy Rain did it for their Taxidermist addon n i seen many other games i own updated only if i am totally connected and loged into my Playstation Account ID.. If you meaning you cant connect to PSN but have a reliable connection connected to yoru playstation what keeping you from connecting You lost or forgot your password? Did you get Banned from Playstation  If you need to update your PS3 firmware you can manually by downloading the firmware onto a usb stick but far as the game patch you need to be connected to the net and SIGNED into your PSN account

Just to let you all know that the patch has gone through EA Cert and has now made it to Sony's hands! I don't have an official release date estimate yet, but with a little bit of luck we may still see it late this week. I'll update you when we know more.

The upcoming patch addresses:
- The high rate of crashing on firmware 3.3.
- The issue where redeeming codes was no longer showing the free download items.
- Adds the trophies for the upcoming Darkspawn Chronicles DLC

Yeah us Europeans always get the sh*tty end of the stick, the US gets Awakening on a disc so they have the option to buy a cheaper pre owned copy, but here we have no choice but to pay £31 for it because it's only available on PSN for download.

I can't sign into PSN because I'm still running Firmware 3.10, and when I try to sign in, it tells me that I can't until I update to 3.30. And I'm not updating until the patch is released.
However, I still have my PS3 connected to the internet, and I still have all the latest PSN News scrolling across the top of the screen. So what I want to know is will the patch still automatically download to my copy of Dragon Age, even though I'm on 3.10 and can't sign into my account?

I don't want to update to 3.30 until the patch is live, and how else will I know if the patch is up without constantly checking back here for confirmation?

I would say yes.  I manually connect to the PSN when I want to play online but my PS3 is always online.....just not always on the PSN.  However, anytime I put in a new game (I rent a lot) I get the patch update prompts even though I'm not on the PSN.

Yea, I wish I did that so I can still play freeze free. Anyways, just keep checking in the forums to see when the patch is live. I think the first mod said its going to be close to the end of this week, if we are lucky. I'm thinking we will get it maybe next week Monday, but I hope I'm so wrong...

I love the game too much to stop playing. The freezes are incredibly annoying and random, but sometimes you can play for hours and it not happen at all. The other day it froze twice in ten minutes on me, then last night I played all night without a glitch.

Ohh i totally understand what your stating now due to firmware 3.30 you dont want to update to it n give you any grief untill Game patch is totally Released to the public yeah i agree well im stuck with 3.30 at the moment n i do check fourms off n on n waiting for patch so i guess we all will let one another know on here which be great Im a sucker who spend 120 just the other day with out researching into an issues till it happend to me n EA support sucks when i called them.. But on lighter note yeah just stick to fourms wait toill someone goes US has patch released heck im in the US as well if i have to i would post a pic snapshot of update when it comes out
