I must admit - Bioware stood up and admitted that they suck. Not many do so, SEGA for example just keep silence.
And seriously, people don't respect themselves if they thank developer for such ****. At the very best, DO NOT sell your game - that will be enough gratitude.

I know it doesn't make any sense. Maybe because it is past "PSN-update-day".I_am_Spartacus wrote...
If its already past sony's cert why do we have to wait a week? Just put it out so we can play

And you people complaining, Bioware has worked as hard and as fast as they can to make a patch to fix this issue. Would you want them to release a patch that breaks more than it fixes, or would you want them to release a patch that WORKS???
As for why it can't be released this week, Victor stated that they basically missed the window to release it this week. Be patient. It's only a few more days till next Monday, which is when we should have a release date.
As they say, PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!

So you're saying its acceptable to take almost a month to fix this issue? I don't know about you but when I paid good money for this game i never expected it to be broken for 4 weeks.

I can give you this much update, but I will also make an announcement as soon as we get some final key information.
The patch Fernando discussed has passed Sony certification both in North America and the EU and we're currently working with them on a deployment date. We're going to miss the window to get this released this week, but we are going to try and get released next week ASAP.
Again, I'll make an official announcement once dates are set. The firmware ordeal is almost over
Hummm....one more week.
Back to Heavy Rain.

No, it's not, but I'd rather a game be broken for a month than for Bioware to release a patch that breaks even more things in the game. I prefer Quality in patches, not "Let's just kludge something together to fix it, and be damned to any bugs it causes".reece4591 wrote...

Heavy Rain is a great game, but only occupied me for 2 days, then I was done. Downloaded the addon today, and that wasn't even worth the 4 Euros.TheDarkHuntress wrote...

Please, fix this. I can't take the stress much longer. It's turning into anger which will result in my game breaking in two.

Ah so this is the source of my non-stop freezing. Mine freezes all the time. And I mean all the time. Right now I'll be lucky if I can get 10 minutes of gameplay. I want to start a new character but seeing how bad it's getting I'm afraid that it'll freeze in the Character Generation which will make me ******. A lot of the times it freezes when someone is trying to make a comment in your party. Like a conversation between two party members or something along those lines. But thats not the only time. It's unpredictable. It happens all the time, no matter what you're doing.

what happened:
1.reformat hard disk
2. reinstall game
3. patch
4. played (or had game turned on) for roughly twelve hours
5. went to check dlc price came back to the first and only auto save
6. froze one hour later
7.deleted the autosave and turned it off in the option menu
8. freeZe free...?...
im not sure the reformat would be at all relevant because of the freeze afterwords, so dont try that one if u dont want to, post if it doesnt work or more likely i will in an hour of two...

And I prefer a quality product and no patches at all. And if product is broken, I prefer my money back. Sadly, you can't return a videogame to a store, you have to deal with Bioware directly. I've just thought that this sum of money don't worth the trouble.SurrealSadi wrote...

As for patience, people don't pay money to BE patient. Sometimes you pay people to make them a bit more patient, but I ain't paid by Bioware. I paid Bioware.

*sighs* No game is released bug-free. Ever. If you prefer a quality product and no patches, you're gonna be waiting a long time. If a product is broken when put it out, it's the company's problem, but also the consumer's for buying it. Getting your money back won't happen.Lord Gremlin wrote...

It isn't like they are dodging the question. They posted 2 hours ago... they don't check back every five minutes just to see who else is complaining and justify that with a response.

I don't think those people have any idea what an arduos task programming can be. Particularly PATCHING a bug that was created when the machine was altered by an outside source. BIOWARE didn't release DAO with this freeze bug... it was caused by a conflict with 3.3 from Sony.
