For me personally, Bioware's game play is so much more fun than Bethesda's. Bethesda could take some tips from Bioware on character set, meaning face construction and so on. I know this is an unpopular feeling but is my truth. 

I couldn't stomach the way the characters looked in Elder Scrolls. Fallout was not much better. Both felt so opressive.  Just a different vibe than Bioware.

I totally feel you on that I really enjoy Bioware's work on this game glad patch comming soon I totally lost interest in fall out due to many reasons and yes part of it was designing yoru own charater not many options.. Story line was slow to get going but DA O rocks just cant wait to actually level up beyond lvl 6 n all Just a sit n wait game...

My experience with Sony on this matter:

Me: Blahblahblah 3.30
Sony: lolwut? We have no knowledge of that!
Me: Well... you do now, right? I just told you of it. I'm not the only one experiencing this (links to several forums, including this one)
Sony: It's your hard drive! Send us your PS3 and $179. We'll fix it!
Me: ...What? It's brand spanking new! Plus, what about all those other people experiencing the exact same thing?

No, it´s still free. They said in some post here on these forums that because of all the recent problems the codes would not expire on April 30th. They did not give any details on when the new expiration date will be though.  But it´s a fortunate thing for everyone who has just bought DA:O in May or is planning to do so soon.

I for one am still waiting for my copy, and I´m lucky since I have not yet updated my PS3 firmware to 3.30; so I can start when the game arrives on Monday and just wait with the firmware update until the corresponding fix is out.


What is sad is reading of the peoples´ experiences with Sony´s customer service. I know they cannot help with it since it is ioware´s problem, but the guys on the phone could at least be informed about this.

Uh Expreation date invalid according to EA when i called them about the freezing issue i baught the game May 7th  I enterd in both codes it worked only if i baught that gift combo pack from psn store for 2.99 and bioware is aware of store issue thats what this new patch going to fix the store issue the freezing and upcomming rlease of new DLC

My free voucher worked, because I bought the game before April 30th (the fact that the date was extended notwithstanding). What didn't work was actually downloading the "free" content without being prompted to pay for it or something else I didn't want to begin with.

lol!  Good stuff.  Yep, I think that's what most of us got in response from Sony.  Hopefully the Bio-Team has some solid info at the beginning of the week.

You know i am curious about why us PS3 players have to wait till sometime after May 18th to get Darkspawn Chronicles. I mean if its because of this whole 3.30 issue and having to make the patch it still doesnt explain why the extra wait for us. I mean couldnt you have just included this DLC to be reviewed by Sony QA at the same time you sent in the patch to fix the 3.30 issues?

Bioware never gave a reason as to why PS3 users once again are experiencing a delay in DLC content. Is it some sort of paid time exclusive thing that MS paid for to have it come first on Xbox and make us PS3 users wait? Heck, i wouldnt even be surprised if we didnt get this DLC till a month after Xbox gets it. This is the second time now that DLC is delayed on the PS3 while the Xbox/PC gets it. This is starting to look like some pay off type crap, and us PS3 users are getting the "scraps".

I mean dont get me wrong, i love DAO, and have bought the DLC/expansions for it and will continue to buy future DLC/expansions, but it just seems to me like this is starting to become the "norm" for PS3 users for getting DLC

Think about it bro PC/Xbox hmm all microsoft's domain programming more than likely very simular so hence the reason they tend to get the DLC before PS3... PS3 total own OS background totally different programming in different ways than anothers consol..... sometimes its just sit tight wait for the PERFECTION Do you want quality or do you want crap??

Bioware's unexpected freeeze due to fw 3.30 is not their fault PS3 is a total new domain for alot of software engineers.. Look how long it took to create God of war 3 they had to relearn the entire new coding level for PS3 entireley its completly different than PS2 So Sit back relax enjoy your Tea soda or what have you Im sure enjoying what games i can play for now and i still raise hell with Sony on few of my Blueray movies that freeze up ever since FW release But what can we do Just sit n wait n hope for the BEST...

Good to see some people are reasonable. I have worked in both hardware and software (games) businesses and this is simply a glitch that happens. Sony is continually upgrading their firmware, this is good for all of us because we get more capability without more expense. Bioware made the game before this change and cannot be expected to predict how changes in the future will affect their game. It can take a long time time investigate what is the root cause and then build a solution that does not simply make things worse in other areas. I applaud both Sony and Bioware for not rushing to a 'solution' that simply masks the problem.



As for Sony's response...while it is rather silly for them to say they do not know, the fact is that there is nothing technically wrong with their system or the upgrade. What could they fix?



Oh, and yes, often MS or another platform mfg will pay to be 'first' or to get exclusive content.
