I bought FF XIII and GoW III at the same time. I finished FF XIII anda bought DA:O and Awakening, together with FW 3.30. Yesterdat I start playing GoW III, until this problem is over.

The point question is: what will you do with your time until the patch is released ?

:D

I shall ofcourse masturbate furiously to futanari hentai ^_^ Dont know what futanari is? Look it up ^_~

Wow. Sony is very inconsistent. I was asked for $179 to "fix" my PS3. Someone else on here was asked for $150 and they just asked my friend for $125. I'm wondering how they determine these odd prices :P

You know you can still continue to play dragon age if you disable your playstations' internet connection in network settings. :)

When the **** are these idiots going to sort this problem out. It's a ****ing disgrace! I'm steering clear of BioWare products and as a voting member, they can be rest assured that I will be spreading the word come awards time. Whoever is responsible for this severe **** up should be exposed and sacked. Would you accept a new car that broke down every day? No you wouldn't! But these idiots think they can con customers without telling them. Are they still selling this game without warnings? Yes, because they're greedy and stupid, but think consumers are dumber.

I do not think tolerance to corporate apathy and incompetence should be the norm. BioWare are so lucky they don't have offices near me, because I would make sure they felt the full brunt of their own ignorance.

The games industry needs a good ****ing kick up the arse. No other industry would get away with selling consumer goods that it knows don't work properly, yet they do it time and time again. I'm sure BioWare execs will be in attendance at the GAMES awards and they will get a ****ing earful from me when they do. Spin don't work as well when face to face and there's nothing I like better than listening to idiots talking indefensible bull**** to get themselves out of a pickle.

Ok...Your a little late on the ranting. The patch will be out this week monday or tuesday most likely theres no reason to get all fired up before 3.30 the game worked fine besides the DLC and Dex glitch but that doesn't make the game not worth playing. Also swearing doesn't get your point across any better.

I don't work for sony either but from what I know of large network serversthe servers will have to be shut down and restarted. For companies as large as sony this is a pretty big task. To reduce or elminate down time they usually switch to a secondary server with lower capabilities while mains are rebooting. They tend to do this when the server loads are at their lowest to keep from having crashes due to server overloads. They probably could have done it right away but the risk of a total network crash would have been to great so they just schedule for their normal back-up restart.

Thanks, thats the best answer I've been given. One more question, they really have to shut the whole system down to send us a patch? I don't know much but I know when I receive a patch I don't have to shut down my ps3 for example. Also like when my friend put BFBC2 on his PC he didn't have to shut it down. Just wondering.

And to everyone in general, if you don't know the answer I don't want your answer!

Are you saying it doesn't crash at all? If so, you might be the only one. I've tried that and it still crashes.

I don't give two ****s about niceties or how difficult it is for companies to rectify their own incompetence. Their **** up their responsibility to customers to bend over backwards and get it sorted as fast as possible. And I really don't have time for corporate apologists: go stick your tongue up someone elses' backside. They waste my ****ing time with this glitch and I'm not a passive mug who accepts corporate incompetence.

Will you be compensated for your troubles? Any free downloads as an apology? No of course not, you are expected to take it in the arse and be happy that they are doing anything at all. Customer service? 'WTF is that? BioWare say!

I think that they want to be the first one ton have 3D because Xbox don’t have and Sony want to be the best in all. But they are not.

Sony updated the PS3 to do 3D video play back; this will allow those of us who want to watch 3D blu-rays on our PS3 instead of buying a newer blu-ray player. It may have caused us problems but they did it for the vast majority of users that use their PS3 for other media functions other than gaming.

I still put the blame on Bioware and not Sony. I have other games that don't freeze. I only experience freezing with this game.

again the vast majority of PS3 users dont even have, or will even have anytime soon, a tv that shows 3D images.  So for Sony to just all of a sudden jump to put this in was unnessary to say the least.  They could have took a lot more time to find out if what they was doing was going to have any type of affect on users and their games.  Instead Sony decided to use us as testers and still is denying that anything went wrong with 3.30

Its not the T.V. that shows you 3D, its the glasses you have to buy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only difference in the T.V.s out now and 3D T.V.s is the 3D ones have blue tooth to sync with the glasses.

EDIT: just a thought, the ps3 also has blue tooth. I wonder if it can sync with 3D glasses, hmmm?(crosses fingers)

It's not the game that's faulty. Dragon Age is not the only game susceptible to these freezes. Nor is it just games that freeze. Certain movies do as well. As for BioWare, they're the only ones who've done anything so far. So perhaps it's time to shut your trap, yes?

They really need to create some sort of consumer law for video game companeis. These guys make too much to get away with freezing and glitching and decide to put patches on the back burner so they can develope their new product that includes glitches and freezing. DA:O WAS a sloppy game to begin with, this freezing with the firmware put me over the edge. Not to mention the badgering of IN-GAME characters advertizeing more glitchy software. Imagine if all copies of dark night froze every 5-10 minutes amd framerates where reduced to 10 a sec. I'm sure they would be sued to high hell. Even if it was patched up a month later. This problem, although a patch is being made, is angering and it's gunna take a lot to gain my trust in bioware(mabye take out the obnoxious in game advertizements...absolutely shameless). They sold millions of copies across three platforms and they're trying to tell me they can't keep a smooth framerate on the ps3. As far as other games freezing-not any other game for the PS 3 console is haveing universal problems like DA. I have 25 games I have all tested and come out pretty damn good. Yes mabye the firmware did mess it up but why should sony have to deal with biowares mess of a game. Just because of bioware's sloppy codeing sony has to work around one game to make a patch for 3 D? Sorry thats BS. Oblivion has just enough stuff going on in it as this game and it runs just fine. Their is no excuse, except the budgeting for the ps 3 port being skimped.

As it's been said too many times before, Dragon Age is not the only game that freezes. Some movies freeze as well. Some of my friends don't even have the freezing problem with Dragon Age. They've been making me green with envy playing this whole time without any problems. You cannot pass this off on BioWare. It's ridiculous.

Oh indeed. BioWare stepping up and taking care of the problem is TOTALLY unacceptable. They should have just told us to eff off instead. That's the only acceptable route.
