"Oh look, it's this topic again."

Yeah, it sure is. I though it might be relevant enough to dedicate an entire thread to it considering the fact that he makes an appearance in the Redemption comic, albeit in holographic form:

Even though it might just be some kind of avatar instead of actually being the Shadow Broker's silhouette, the shape of his head suggests that he is a drell, without a doubt the rarest species in the Mass Effect series so far. So rare, in fact, that we have only seen three so far. The first two are obvious: assassin Thane Krios and his son, Kolyat. The third, however, is exclusive to the Mass Effect: Redemption comic: Feron, an agent of the Shadow Broker who joins Liara on her quest to save Shepard's body from none other than the Shadow Broker himself. In the end he ends up getting captured by the Broker's enforcer, Tazzik... or did he?

I find it to be highly unlikely that the Shadow Broker turns out to be someone, or something, we never knew. Revealing the identity of an entity this mysterious and intriguing will no doubt be one of the memorable moments of the series, and thus it will probably be a shocking revelation to say the least. A random volus or asari would not have the same impact as someone you may know and possibly care about.

Wouldn't having Liara's new friend turning out to be the Shadow Broker be a great twist? I can definitely see BioWare pulling a Keyser Söze like that, which would also change how one would look at the comic: the legendary Shadow Broker turning out to have been playing with Liara, Cerberus and the Collectors/Harbinger all along, never intending to sell the hero of the Battle of the Citadel to the Collectors, but just furthering his own plans, whatever those may be...

In any case, whoever - or whatever - the Shadow Broker may actually be, tell me and the rest of the community about who you think he - or she, or it, or they - is.

I kinda doubt the possibility, but dammit it would be juicy revelation. Imagine Feron gloating about how much of a Xanatos Sucker Liara was to him, amused to no end of how badly she fell for it.

Thought exactly why would Feron make up such elaborate scheme against some of the most formidable persons and organizations in galaxy, aside from trolling them epicly.

Could be Miranda's father. Then if you romanced LIara in ME1, and Miranda in ME2....Profit!

liara... cause when she finally kills him , in the suposedly upcoming dlc (we already suspect its a he because of that file someone found) she effectively becomes the shadow broker then shepard will convince her to give it up and she will join shepards team and there will be much rejoicing and melding aboard the normandy.

I sincerely hope they don't make it that obvious.

He's dead and has been for some time. Harbringer controls the network and is using Liara's quest as a trap for Shepard.

That'll be thirty-five dollars.Posted Image

I hope it's not a human. From the sound of it, it seems like the Shadow Broker has been around way before humanity. It better not be anyone like Liara's father, TIM or Miranda's Father. I'm getting tired of all that non sense. It reminds me of when people thought that Jack was Gillian Grayson, Rahna (girl Kaidan liked) or Talitha.

I find this to be an intriguing theory.  Shadow Broker might be the anti-TIM, so to speak, in that he wants to further all galactic life, and not just secure humanity as the top notch species.  So the shadow broker could well have done this.  Instead, his goal was to secure a double agent (haven't read redemption, so I don't have all those details, just the bits and pieces from here), to draw the collectors out?  It would embolden them a bit to have an opportunity to purchase dead Shep body only to have the chance snatched at the last moment, wouldn't it?

Wouldn't it just kick everyone in the balls if it was really a Batarian? I would laugh so hard.
