I just hope it isn't an asari, personally (thought it probably will end up being the Consort and/or Liara's 'father'...)

I get it, they're long lived, but can't one of the other races hold a position of power this time?

General Septimus was really good in uncovering secrets.

The title of this thread is:
"Who is John Ga__, the Shaddow Broker?"
So who is John Gault as "Atlas Shrugged?" (Ayn Rand)

? OP is just making a joke by drawing a reference to a similar iconic question in classic literature.

Indeed I was, nothing wrong with a few cultural reference.

My bet is that the Shadow Broker organization was actually formerly part of the Salarian government's intelligence gathering community who went rogue because they were tired of "holding the line", currently being headed by the female Salarian information broker who Anderson approached for information on Kahlee Saunders in Revelation 20 years ago after the fallout from Sidon. Tazzik being her right hand man, their short lifespan counteracted by their record keeping prowess throughout the ages, the Shadow Broker simply being the current head honcho in a long line of succession dictated by seniority and rank in the information trading game.

Edit: Drell have photographic memories triggered by emotional responses...  the broker never deals directly with any of the parties so I wouldn't put too much stock in the Shadow Broker is a Drell theory, besides Feron addressed the Shadow Broker directly.

Or so we think: it wouldn't be that hard to device an automated response system if you know exactly what you're going to say to yourself.

Aside from that: good theory, I never considered the possibility of it being someone from the books.

I doubt it, but I'd like to see him again.

For the longest time, I thought that the Shadow Broker was really just an arm of Salarian Intelligence, though that now seems highly unlikely. This has been an entertaining secret from the start though, I'm glad Bioware has kept us all guessing this way.

Just hope it turns out to be an surprising revelation, and not some cop-out like an AI ( although an AI well done is OK)  Posted Image
