I got a request to post a guide to make a mod for Awakening. So here it is.

Guide To Make a mod Work in Awakening

1. Make a fake module named DAO_PRC_EP_1 and the UID is also DAO_PRC_EP_1
- Set the Content Module to Core Game Resources and Extended Module to Core Game Resources.
2. Make a new module for your project (I just add Awk to the end of the original)
-Set Content to Core Game Resources. Set Extended Module to DAO_PRC_EP_1
-The rest of the settings should be the same as the original mod
3. Copy all of the files from the Original Addin's sub directories
- Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Addins\\[Original Mod UID]\\Core\\Override
- Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Addins\\[Original Mod UID]\\Module\\Override
Into
-Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Addins\\[New Mod UID]\\Core\\Override
4. Build Player Package. and test.

Sometimes Certain files do not like to be used for 2 different mods. so you might have to make duplicates in the toolset.

1) Make a fake module DAO_PRC_EP_1: Name=DAO_PRC_EP_1, UID=DAO_PRC_EP_1.

2) Create module My_Mod: Name=My_Mod, UID=My_Mod, Extended Module=Single Player.
2a) Set another My_Mod property (Script, Variable 2da, etc) as you need.
2b) Create all My_Mod resources (scripts etc) with Module=Core Game Resources (it will share resources between modules).
2c) Now you must have complete My_Mod mod for Origins.

3. Create module My_Mod_AW: Name=My_Mod_AW, UID=My_Mod_AW, Extended Module=DAO_PRC_EP_1.
3a. Click Hierarchy button (Manage Modules window) for My_Mod_AW and check My_Mod. Now all core resources from My_Mod is available for My_Mod_AW.
3b. Set all My_Mod_AW module property (except Name, UID and Extended Module) same as for My_Mod.
3c. Now you must have complete My_Mod_AW mod. This mod is empty as fact (have no self resources) and simple make you My_Mod usable in Awakening. No need any copy/move or manual editing.

PS this is only quick guide for my way to resolve this problem.

One thing to note; you need to delete the folder that is created in your (My) Documents\\Bioware\\AddIns folder after creating the fake expansion module, or you will not be able to start Awakening. This is needed since the expansion is installed in a folder of the same name in the Origins installation folder and the game will try to read from the one you added instead.
