I also have 2 PTs with the Kaidan then Garrus Shep, in case there is a confrontation so one can pick Alenko and the other can pick Vakarian. ))

ME: no one, regardless of gender. Liara moved way too fast and I can't quite see a Shep *that* comfortable with Virmire's survivor so soon after the ordeal.

Haven't played FemShep. Either Garrus or no one. I'm not quite sure how to fit Garrus' hero worship in a courtship, really.

The moment that really sold it for me came right after I rescued Liara from her imprisonment. You take the elevator up and you came face to face with a Krogan battlemaster. If you respond to the Krogan by telling him he can’t have her; at that moment Liara turns her head and silently gazes at her benefactor. It is a poignant moment (more so from the fact that I had to replay it about 8 times because I was having so much trouble killing the beast).
ME2 I chose Kelly:
I had every intention to romance Miranda Lawson in my first play through because she is so shapely and comely. I enjoyed the interactions with sweet slender Kelly so much that I quickly changed my mind. Not only does Kelly have a buoyant personality, her conversations are reactions to the events as they unfold. I only wish the developers had done something with the dinner non-scene.

Well during the 1st playthrough, for about 50% of it I was loyal to Ashley, and I thought there would be more chance to interact with her, but there is no denying the "charm" of Miranda, so I made a point to do a few missions again, during the 1st playthrough, just to start a romance with Miranda!!! 2nd playthrough I'm not sure what or who it'll be...
