Of course not. The benchmark for an RPG is a leveling system. Just as the original Doom is the benchmark for modern day shooters. Genres certainly don't evolve. Guys like Nozy are insane.

Enough with the bloody insults.
OP is not good at shooters. Simple. How is that a failing?
The failing is coming to the forums and presuming to call me a "halo ******."
Let me tell you a story ... I used to represent my state in laser tag, and my team and I booked a 2 hour slot, in the middle of the day during school hours, in order to practice for an upcoming interstate competition.
Now, some moron who worked the desk decided to book an 8 year old girl's birthday party at the same time as us, 'cos just 'cos the venue has a capacity of 30 and there were only 6 of us.
Even though we had already paid for the whole venue.
Of course, we complained, and though they acknowledged their error they couldn't turn the girls away. And that's ok.
But then they refused to give us a refund.
So we went bunny hunting.
I scored 3-4 kills a second during the first 15 minute session, and the girls went home crying.
Because it's not my fault they are crap.
You made an 8 year old girl cry at her birthday party because the people who run the venue were ****s.
Nice to know you are a bully.
8 year old girls had no business being there during school hours.
We tried to avoid the kid traffic, and we were going to get our $500's worth of practice we paid for.
Except if they took the day off for a party.
Yes, they were in the way.
Yes, you paid for the whole venue.
How is this the girls fault?
Why ruin her party?

You exlude third person and top down shooters. Doom is the groundwork for FPS games while games like Legend of Zelda and Metal Gear lay the groundwork for TPS games as TPS games are a Japanese philosophy while FPS games are a Western Philosophy.

Games like Legend of Zelda is the reason why you have non-linear games these days. The first Legend of Zelda showed that non-linear games can be done and be very fun.

Rebook either them or us.
Refund either them or us.
We don't know how to be ****, so just being in the same game would end up with the same result regardless. Trying our best just means we also actually hone our skills.

I don't play on Casual anymore though and I now play on Veteran but when I did my Insanity run that Geth part was one of the hardest parts for me. The idea is you need to wait for a break in their spawn and push forward. Once you get to the Collosus there will be a giant Geth coming to charge you so be warned. Kill it and eventually the spawn should die down and take that chance to use your heavy weapons against the Collusus.

And?
We weren't at fault there, you know ... we knew how it was going to turn out, and would have been happy with a refund.
Her parents decided it would be ok, when we asked them to back us up on the refund request.
