Really? Doom 3 seems to not to know what it wants to be. Is it a hard fast-paced shooter like the first Doom? No because it tries too hard to be a horror game. Is it a horror game? No because the horror seems to consist of an imp teleporting in you shoot it and an imp teleports behind you IN EVERY ROOM.

I love Doom, if I want hardcore FPS gameplay I'll play Doom. If I want a horror/action game Dead Space nails down what I think Doom3 was going for.

Through certain members here, and other gamers, I think I speak for all RPG fans that want story most. It's kind of weird. My first game was a pain in the ass which is why this is just my 2nd time through. But for some reason, despite having spiked to level 30, and the difficulty being set to what you call "for those who favor the plot over combat", it's even more of a pain in the ass as opposed to the first time around. As I alluded to in another post, it pisses me off the enemies surround us, but not only that, THEY DON'T END. I have spent the last 45 minutes trying to pass the geth on the world Tali is to recruit her but there's no limit to the enemies. WTF? Go balls out with the combat and kiss the Halotards asses if you must, but it would be appreciate if you don't lie and act like casual is for the story fans. Thanks.

You know, maybe it's just that you aren't using... Uh, strategy? I'm on my second hard core playthough, and died... Let's see, three times on Haestrom? Yes, it's challenging, but by no as hard as you imply. What I'm guessing you're doing is rushing into the enemy without a second thought and getting yourself killed. And yes, there is a limit to the enemies, and frankly, there aren't that many. Enough to be challenging, yes. But a constant onslaught? No. Maybe you just aren't playing it the intended way. As a side note, it's not doing any favor to your credibility or intelligence to go ranting like this. I've learned that if you want something, you discuss it politely, instead of calling people Halotards. "Thanks".

Yeesh, enough nastiness people. If you want to discuss NG+ and Difficulties, do it like mature people or I'll lock the thread everytime.

OP, I expected better of you
