My very good pal Unee and me have put together a catalog of companion npc v/os. It can be found here:-

DA Companion WAV Catalogue

The project contains dialogue.wavs for all potential party members, including the Mystery Companion. We've got well over 12,000, so we hope it's most of them, although I'm pretty sure there are still some lurking that we haven't managed to find - I'm working on that though.

There is an excel file which links to the .wavs, says who the line is spoken by and what the line actually is. So it makes a nice searchable list. Download the excel file and the four .wav folders. Put all the wavs and the excel file in a single folder together and voila!

We thought it might be a useful little resource for anyone wishing to include v/o for the DA:O companion npcs in their own mods.

Unee did all the cool, fiddly program writing stuff, I extracted the files and did the silly Alistair picture on the project page.

Enjoy!

Best wishes

Tara

What we used:-

To extract the fsbs from the game, I used  Aezay's FSB Extractor [thank you very much Aezay!] and I used this Free MP3.OGG Converter too when I wanted to turn them in to mp3s - nifty little programs both.

nice resource!

can I ask what program-writing was done? we're needing to convert a batch of wavs into FSBs, ideally using some sort of command-line input. i guess its the other way around... but any existing knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

thankies!

Hi, mikemike,

There was programming done, but not on the audio exporting side. We used a tool that has been mentioned in other forums called fsbext: http://social.biowar...3/index/385958. I really haven't tried it the other way around; however, I believe you can use the FMOD Designer in the "\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\tools\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\FMOD Designer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\fmod_designer.exe" folder to create fsb files.

If you are looking for a command line tool, the developer of fsbext did package the source in the file. Maybe it could be reversed? It's worth a look.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Regards,
Unee

EDIT: Tara used a different application to extract the wav's:
