Obviously the number of shots it takes for GPR or any other rifle to kill anything will depend on 1) what you're shooting at 2) how far you're shooting from 3) what level your incendiary ammo is 3) what other damage bonuses you have, and 4) what level your character is. It is clear from all experiments I've done that Vindicator kills much faster than any other rifle. Since all bonuses are percentage bonuses to the base damage, and not absolute bonuses (like +10 damage), the damage per second ratio of the rifles stays pretty much the same regardless of bonuses, ammo etc.
While it may be true that you can use the GPR efficiently, it's still true that you can use the Vindicator much more efficiently.
U forgot 5) What difficulty are u playing on. Because if its anything but Hardcore or Insanity (just because everyone has shields), he shouldnt be saying anything at all.
