Just started to play ME2.
Imported vanguard character and changed it into a soldier. (good , bad choice?)

Were is the quick keys to different weapons?
In ME you changed effortlessly and seamlessly your load out with F1-F5.
Its completely retarded to have to scroll between different weapons or pausing to change loadout.
Am I missing something?

second Q:
How in the name of everything decent do I take off hte helmet when walking around outside normandy.
I want to hav e a helmet when going into combat but I prefer to be able to take it of when going to more stordriven places.

1. I don't know if there are hotkeys for weapons but if you press x you can switch back to the last weapon you used.
2. Not possible.

Hotkeys in general are a huge problem in ME2-PC. Unlike Demiurge, BioWare didn't care about including gameplay elements in the PC port like menu hotkeys and the ability to double click or use a mouse wheel in menus.

Thank you for the reply.

It is as I feared.Bioware have totaly F"#¤ed those who play their games on PC.

To call it an oversight would be to kind...

Ive used the function to switch to last weapon, but it is not good enough.

I love the game, but im starting to detest all this "consolification" with a religious fervor.

Agreed. And it's not only weapons, how much work would it really be to give PC gamers a custom control scheme.

Separate buttons for use/cover and sprint, quick keys to open squad, codex, journal, etc. They should've let Demiurge handle it a again if it was too much trouble for Bioware...
