Okay so i beat wardens keep, and it was pretty fun but im noticing some problems. Of course they could always not be bugs...
Firstly, isnt the Warden Commander Armor suppose to be silverite? I thought it was said to be, and listed in the Strat guide as well but in game its just steel.
The Big one though, Wardens Keep is advertised as a new base of operations and the game itself especially refers to the DLC blatantly says its your new base and all that, and even the Drydens talk about how they restored the keep for you. Erm.. It seems to be just to be a small Store and storage area.
I cannot get back into the Keep and it certainly didnt Replace the camp on the map. What gives? This seems like blatant false advertisement to me. Base? What a joke. Please tell me this is just a bug. The game just forgets all about it after the DLC quest ends.
Yes, I enjoyed the quest but this is a letdown and a rip off after both In-game characters calling it your new Fortress in the War and the Advertisements calling it a base you can claim.
Warden's Keep Majorly bugged?

I was a little miffed too but given how much I love the rest of the game, seriously bioware, kudos on this title, I've already played through five of the six origin stories which is why my highest level character is only like level 11 heh.

Yeah I was hoping Wardens Keep would be like your keep in NWN2. I liked the quest but the storage chest and vendors aren't a huge improvement.

Where do you see those vendors? I've finished the quest, but don't see them.

I agree, it's incredibly frustrating that we can't enter the keep that WE NOW OWN. Did we lose the key? I didn't finish all of the history quest and now I can't without going back and losing a lot of progress. I know that on my second character I will have to complete everything inside before I leave. The many outstanding things about this game just make these frustrating game design choices that much more frustrating.

I understand that DLC cant really change the base game much only add to it however... They added the NPC to the camp to go to the keep. Would it be so hard to have a few npc's around in towns that you can recruit for your keep? build it back up. Be a true threat? Even tie it into some of the origin stories? Make it like the keep in NWN 2? Have not finished the game yet but having a what if scenario where you got pushed all the way back to the keep then had to fight the final boss there in a end all assault would be pretty cool.

Just makes no sense to close it up, did they just run out of time to redecorate? I was really looking forward to seeing it refurbished. Even had hopes you would be able to buy various furnishings and people for it. Anyone remember the DLC warriors keep in Oblivion? Like that.

Yeah, the way they handled Wardens keep is a ****-up of biblical proportions and is deceptive, if not false advertisement.
I mean seriously....is there anyone who thinks not being able to go back into the is not the stupidest thing EVER?

Warden's Keep Reborn ?
Those who downloaded lots of mods for Oblivion should recognize that one :-)

None of it was a bug. The armor scales to what level you are.

Well that sucks. Thanks for the heads up about the false advertising.

My problem with this DLC is being advertised as
"New features - a base of operations with party storage.." and the In-game characters telling you how they restored your keep and all the other dialogue pertaining to the keep supposedly being your new base and Fortress to help fight Darkspawn. Yes, the characters say those things to you. However in reality all you get is a outdoor flea market. Theres absolutely nothing going on at the keep after you beat it but some merchants standing around outside, next to the storage chest. Thats it and to top it off they refer to how they to refurbished the keep for you and forget to mention they locked the doors and are laughing at you because its really their keep not yours.
The Bioware DLC team needs to get their act together, it sounds like they got really lazy at the end of the DLC if they have NPCs and Advertisements lying to us. Afterall the buildup im terribly disappointed in this DLC.

I hate to say it, because I enjoyed the quest and the extra backstory and items that came with it, but Warden's Keep is this game's horse armor.

Oh wow, I'm not going to get ripped off as an European now for this.
€6,50 vs $7, what a joke. And it isn't even worth it, it seems.
No thanks, Bioware!

I just finished Soldier's Peak, and to be fair it was never actually said that the keep belonged to the PC. Levi Dryden said that he was going to turn the keep into HIS base of operations, and there was no dialog option to say "Hey wait a minute, this belongs to the Grey Wardens!" And I can see why not-even with the demons gone the keep has been neglected for centuries and has fallen into disrepair. Occupying it simply doesn't make sense-not only is it in the middle of nowhere but how practical is it for the keep to be given to the Grey Wardens given that there are exactly two left in all of Ferelden? Let the Drydens have it, I'll take the family discounts and storage

The armor only becomes available if you make a certain choice regarding cleansing the keep.

I was also hoping for some sort of refuge as well kind of like the houses in Morrowind (which is way better than Oblivion), but right now it's just two vendors and a stash.

Even though I thorougly enjoyed the story behind it and fighting your way up through the keep, I was disappointed after it was done. I also expected to be able to go back into the keep (it is supposed to be my keep now) and have merchants set up shop inside the keep and not just two standing out front and the doors welded shut.
At first I thought it was just a decision about convenience. Show up in front of the keep and everything is right there. But, now having read others posts, I agree it seems lazy to not allow us back in.

Well for me what's more annoying is the fact that I left the mage alive to continue his work, but I no longer have access to his tower, so I am unable to check up on him and his progress. Other than that, I mainly just find it VERY odd that they're camped out in the snow instead of in the nice warm keep
